With this new thread let us pause a moment and reflect on the hard truth that, unlike his predecessor, Love has not lost a single professional game as the preferred QB1.

Damn I wanted that dude in GB.

I remember. 😁

There’s a reason I’m not the GM… or remotely close to being qualified to be the president.

That's ok. I am and I can assure you I would do at LEAST as good as Murphy has done. Maybe Murphy is a low bar.... but I'd strive to match Bob Harlan if I had the job.

Past 24 Hours for me.....

-extreme sadness and nostalgia watching AR being introduced by the Jets, and reading some quality JSonline articles recollecting Rodgers playing career and GB, and how he embraced the culture of the city of GB. 69's tribute video on his Instagram didn't make me cheery either. I highly recommend checking them out if you haven't done so already.

-brief thoughts of following Rodgers, and to a lesser extent the Jets, with the same fandom I do the Packers, but realizing this is an impossibility because like many/all of us, our passion for the Packers run way too deep. I can say on the surface that I'll be cheering for Rodgers, but deep down I want to see him fail. Maybe this is more a reflection on my own personal insecurities.

- excitement now over J. Love and what he can bring to this franchise. I don't think any of us really know for sure what his career will look like, but I think for this team and the WR's specifically to grow, a change to Love was 100% necessary. I feel Love will have the chemistry with this young team that Rodgers didn't/couldn't have. It will be on Gute to see if he drafted the right talent and if he did, it will be on LaFleur to harness this talent. This will obviously be how both men are judged.

As in life, I think this change needed to happen. Maybe not so much on a talent level, as I think AR could have a handful of good seasons left in him, but more importantly on a human-nature level. Rodgers tenure in GB needed to end for reasons not 100% tied to the field, and now we have to hope that this new "regime" (FO, players and coaches included) have the ability to keep a quality product in the field.

I'm excited for when the team isn't saddled with zillion $ contract and can acquire some players to fill holes who aren't stiffs.

( I would really like to see a defense like the Lynn Dickey era offense for once. Balls to the wall!)

I don't see @sschumer - Packer Fan HoF'r's handle on that post.

Clearly, after a long July practice: Love Stinks.

But seriously, one thing that will jump off the screen after watching AR try to escape the last season, is how lightening fast Love is at leaving the pocket. Dude is 10 yards down field before Aaron even tucked the ball away during a sack. Gonna be fun.
