PFF. 50 drunk Irishmen.

PFF was founded by Neil Hornsby in the United Kingdom. Dissatisfied with some limitations of standard statistics, Hornsby began grading players in 2004. The staff gradually expanded over the next few years, and the site was launched in 2007. The 2006 NFL season was the first season for which PFF has compiled a complete set of data.

In 2014, sports commentator and former NFL player Cris Collinsworth bought a majority interest in the service.

Collinsworth and NBC is what got PFF to it's perceived credibility.

One thing to notice: on Love's scramble for the big gain, watch Reed downfield. He locks up his man and prevents him from moving forward, and in fact, looks like he wants to follow Heath's example and bury him OOB. Nice job for a rookie.

Yup.  We really have seen very little game experience so far.   This weekend should tell us more in how he handles a legit pass rush and whether Watson noticeably changes how the offense looks.

6 more weeks. (games)

4 of them at home. (Raiders/Broncos on the road) That Raider game is basically Lambeau In Vegas baby. I know sooo many people going.

Let's revisit after this 6 week stretch. You gotta like the start! Stay healthy Jordan

Watson playing. Jones playing. And a somewhat consistent OL will also go a long way in assessing Love. It's hard to get a decent grasp on a young QB if his key weapons aren't out there.

But so far? You have to like what you are seeing in #10.

Everything he did in ATL after the entire left side of the O-Line is shuffled when Jenkins goes out. The offense got a lead in the 4th Q.

The (2) in a row 3 & outs really hurt and didn't help the defense when they needed the rest badly. Win as a team, lose as a team. Best team game in all of sports

Every team has 3-n-outs.  It's the timing of them that changes their impact.  MLF/JL need to have a handful of high percentage plays that they can count on to get them a first down in situations like that.

Can we split this thread off to where the season starts and rename it.  The first couple pages is just puns (yes, the irony) and then a lot of camp and preseason discussion.

We can call the spinoff "Love Notes" and put all of our discussion on his regular season performance, highlights, links to analysis, etc. in that bin.  Preseason posts start pg17, regular season pg21 if that is a good point to break off.

This post was forked into a new topic here: Love Notes - 2023 Game 3 and up!
