So the Badgers are a #9 seed vs. North Carolina. A win gets them most likely Baylor. I think they deserved better, at least a #7. Why. Yes they lost four of their last five, but all against teams seeded #1, #2 or #4 in the NCAA. And all those losses were 2 possesion games. CBS stated Bucky played the toughest schedule in the country. Nothing will be sweeter than beating Roy Williams again.

I had no idea Illinois AND Michigan both would be #1βs.....π³. And Iβm just glad the tournament is back....love the NCAA....but mostly love the Capital One advertisements...... π π€£ π
Livers being out dooms Michigan
The Badgers deserved better than a 9 seed? Why? They were 17-12 and who did they beat this year that was any good? On top of that, they were pretty awful down the stretch. Not exactly great from a tournament resume building standpoint.
Itβs a new season now. Letβs see if they can get a W.
I'd be happy if they got as far as the Sweet 16. Any further than that is not in the works, IMO. This team is too hot and cold to go far.
Beat UNC and they can be among the Unremarkable 32, I donβt see them beating Baylor to make the Sweet 16.
But, anything can happen.

The issue isnβt that they lost some games. Itβs that they didnβt beat any teams of note. Their early season wins against Louisville and MSU ultimately rang hollow. Meanwhile, losses to Penn State and Marquette were bad losses.
They really didnβt have a single signature win. 3 wins over low level Tourney teams (2 10-seeds and an 11), all early in the season. After Christmas, they didnβt beat a single team worth a shit.
Theyβre fortunate they werenβt a 10-12 seed, really, like the rest of the teams outside the top 4 in the B1G.
Sorry brother, but Music City is absolutely right.

I think an 11 or 12 seed, would of been an easier road to at least a sweet 16
That would be amazing.ππΏππΏππΏ
WIS 52.4%
UNC 47.6%
According to ESPN's Basketball Power Index
Lotsa seniors on the Badgers
number is already trending down for N.Car, last nite -2 today -1 1/2
Tip: 6:10 pm friday nite CBS
I see UNC's size wearing UW down.
@ammo posted:I seem to remember an 8 or 9 seed Badger team knocking off #1 seed Arizona. It can happen. Probably won't, but it could.
But that was a very different team. Bryant got hot, they were a holy terror defensively in the backcourt with Kelly, and Kowske/Kershaw were tough interior players. They were mentally tough as they come.
Perhaps they do the same, but donβt count on it. Their inside/outside talent was why they were in the top 10 at one point. Coming into the season, they were supposed to get All Big Ten performances from 2-3 players. None of them showed up. Theyβre the opposite of that Dick Bennett FF team. When the going got tough, they crumbled under the pressure.Every... fucking... time. A lead was NEVER safe for this team.
But if they suddenly get the good Trice, and the good Potter, and Davison becomes the gritty but not dirty player heβs should be, and Aleem Ford doesnβt look like a deer in headlights when he gets an open look, and Reuvers suddenly remembers he was once a Wooden Award top 50 watch list guy at the start of the season, and they make interior passes to open players in good post position, maybe they can shock the world.
This might surprise you Music, but I agree with you 100%.
I can't believe how soft Reuvers has become. Ford, lights out one night, disappears the next. And what it all boils down to for me is I get to watch my team one more game. As for the Goophers and Richard Pitino, well no. Same for Indiana and the great Archie Miller who by the way was fired today.
Edit, Pitino was fired today too.
Badger hockey in the big 10 final...fun team to watch!
I just can't get over the fact that Davison is 22 for 89 from inside the arc this year.
86% from the line. 38% from 3. Under 25% from inside the arc.
Reuvers is at 27% from 3 this year.
Experienced seniors that have played big minutes all 4 years are expected to get better, not worse.
Trice has been OK, but he's 6 years older than some of the guys he's playing against. He should be better. He's only 17 months younger than Giannis.
Down goes #2 Ohio State to Oral Roberts. There goes a lot of bracket busters.
No game thread?
10-5 good start.
I hate when a basketball game breaks out when I'm trying to watch some commercials.
GO BADGERS
Has Potter been a pussy like this all year?
Zero aggression.
A lot of contact that isn't being called , so far
Playing good D
Anthony Harris seems to understand what a good shot is, which puts him heads and shoulders above UNC's other options.
So far so good. Now to just avoid that 9 minute 2nd half scoring drought. And Bucky needs to have enough energy to finish the final 5 minutes. This is where they have struggled all season.
Rodgers getting a lot of airtime....Goldie will be pleased
How 'bout them Badgers!
Impressive.
Much more mature and polished than N.C..... so far.
Fuck Roy Williams in the ass...cheating mother f'er.
Lotta cornhole chat today
How we feeling, Badger fans? March Madness, 60 degrees in Wisconsin today, Adult beverages, livin a dream !!!!!
If Davison plays like he did in the first half, they can beat anyone. The problem is that he hasn't shot well that often this year.

Wisconsin corn > iowa corn
Many thought Iowa would be the #2 to get beat. At least they had the conference right.
Good shooting helps.

Like I asked.....goes in soft.
Carolina quickness showing up
Am really gonna miss Brad next year......I have ALWAYS loved his grit, determination, and just his balls, and not that Iβve even seen or felt them balls, but he has always been just a go getter. Will miss him terribly.
BAM !!!!"Brad Davison is... Smoking Hot"
