I don't blame Gute at all for signing Graham.  In fact, I applaud him for trying to add a huge piece to the offense.  It didn't work out.  Try again... and keep trying until it works.

Is it better to try and then fail or to not try at all? Gute tried to sign a lot of players that were matched or beat by other teams. That in and of itself was a welcome change. We did not have much cap space last year. This year it looks like we have more to spend. Let’s see what happens?

Adam Gase fired by Miami. He’s a guy I hope they interview, I don’t think he quite got a fair shake in Miami with that QB situation. The guys collaborated with Peyton Manning on the top offense in the NFL 2 years in a row and then coached Jay Cutler to his best season as a pro (and his lowest INT total of his career for a full season). I think he knows what to do with QBs, I think he and Rodgers would be a great pairing.

Regardless of who they pick, Murphy and Gute need to move this process into overdrive. Black monday has arrived and there’s heavy competition for coaches right now, if they delay or waste time with guys like Meathead Pat then we could miss out on the top guys.

Gutes first year as GM is just as pitiful as Ted Thompsons 1st year. Lets see what happens the next two years.

Thompson had to clean up Sherman’s mess. And now Gute is cleaning Thompson’s mess.

A lot of draft capital and decent salary cap money, Gutenmeister could turn things around very quickly in 2019. And let’s be real, that’s exactly how today’s NFL is built.

not blaming Gute for this disaster. He gets a pass. I thought his draft was excellent.

Was it pitiful or excellent?

Thompson 1st season was pitiful and hist draft was excellent. Gutes 1st season was pitiful and his draft was excellent. The results of both seasons were pitifu.

Would Gase relieve Pettine of his duties and bring John Fox in as DC?

I hope not. Keeping Pettine in place also helps with getting ahead on hiring new assistants. If Gase takes over I hope to hell he wipes out the entire offensive coaching staff and possibly pick up the guys he wants as well.

It would be excellent to get this hiring done and over if they are absolutely sure about Gase.

Have they fired Zook yet?

We won’t know until the new coach is hired and fills out his staff, but right now coaches are not needed and are not working.

I want them to bring Zook up to the podium and fire him in front of everybody, just because.

I want them to use Gordon Ramsay to fire Zook.

The Packers HC position is coveted. They won't "miss out" on anybody they want.

I'm talking about assistants.

I hear ya...It's obvious after seeing years of MM's bumbling fools under him, the assistants are important. No more of this "Winston Moss, Asst HC" crap

Campbell is the real deal...he's been a favorite of mine for a long time. Some good names popping up.

Think a good coach can't turn a team around quickly? Just look at what Nag-Nog did with the Big Trubowski as his QB1.

Yeah Dan Campbell has the look of a John Harbaugh type. I think he would be a guy that could make a major culture shift in GB.

I mean. Look at his first name. He's probably the top candidate based on that alone

"What makes Coach Munchak great first and foremost is that he’s a great person," Villanueva told 247Sports during the 2017 season. "He’s a person that has a great set of values that works harder than anybody. He’s a person that truly understands the game from a technical aspect. He’s not gonna really worry about things that just happen in football where other coaches might spend too much time thinking about those little mistakes. He’s such a good person and he’s such an admirable man in every single way. The way he behaves, the way he carries himself. He’s very consistent, treats everybody the same. He’s always the same person.

Good article PackerPatrick I'm sold on Dave Toub if he brings innovative OC keeps Petine and fires Zook.

I'm all in on Toub after reading that article. Also, he comes from the Reid tree so I am sure he would be able to poach an offensive assistant from that innovative staff. I also think since he would be coming from an offense-first staff, Pettine and his staff likely has a better chance to stick and continue to build continuity.

And of course, the consistent horrible ST play under M3â€Ķ

Changed my mind, all in on Gase.

Elway will be going hard after him I betâ€Ķ
