You're right, but the original point was that Hyde is slow and lacks "pure speed" which is provably untrue. I'm not trying to say Hyde is great or better than any other player, but he's not AJ Hawk (smart, instinctive but always 2 steps too slow). He has a role and he produces just fine for that role. Would I want him covering Antonio Brown? Absolutely not, nor does any coach in GB, but he's not a step slower than everyone else.

Hopefully Hundley isn't significantly injured.   We could really use that 3rd QB roster spot on the DL to start the year.

In my opinion, neither QB is worth it.  We'd have the same chance of winning a game by picking up a vet off the street as we would starting one of them.   Bring in a couple guys for a workout, see who is in shape, and keep their number handy.

Pokeman Go?

Packers coach Mike McCarthy said the team is doing a team exercise in-house instead of practicing today. "We're raising the football IQ," he said. Packers will have "two big practice days this week."

Jordy Nelson will practice Monday, his first full workout since coming off PUP. "He'll go through the individual (drills) and then we'll take it from there," Packers coach Mike McCarthy said. "First things first."

They must have arranged for Oldschool to talk to them.

Sort of.

Team road trip to his old stomping grounds.

Linsley is still on the PUP with the hammy, right? Availability.

And, if I recall, they didn't think he'd be on the PUP long. Almost a month now!

The odd thing? He pulled this back in May. I get that hamstring injuries can linger, but good grief that's 12 weeks of rehabbing. So either he tore it and MM isn't saying it, or he re-injured it sometime just before TC. Linsley has not participated in any OTA's all season IIRC.

Oh, and once again Teddy will be earning his $$. If Tretter sticks all season as the starting C, I believe that would make 4 starting OL that are all UFA's at the end of the season. He and Russ will really need to work their magic.

Tidbits from today:

Jake Ryan is indeed back in pads and is working on what looks to be footwork in coverage by himself at one end of the field.
#Packers WR Jordy Nelson did not get team reps, but he is participating in offensive jog through. A little more than just individual drills.
Davante Adams schools rookie CB Josh Hawkins on deep route. Must have been a double move Adams was wide open
#Packers ILB Blake Martinez continues to impress in coverage. Would've delivered a big hit against RB Brandon Ross after short catch.
#Packers TE Jared Cook making all kinds of catches today. He's "an artist" in the passing game
Starters are getting a lot of reps today. This is their week. They'll play a lot against San Francisco Friday night.
Tim Masthay had some really nice punts today. His last kick had 5.13 hang time and landed right on the sideline. It was perfect. #Packers
