30. PACKERS

TEE HIGGINS, WR, CLEMSON

Is the guy who tied Sammy Watkins and DeAndre Hopkins for most touchdown catches in school history (27) fast enough to take the next step?

------------------

I'd be thrilled

I try to get on board with whoever the Packer Brass selects....but I am skeptical on Higgins. Love his hands and catch radius, but he doesn't separate.

Sorry, but I disagree with you At the Murph - nothing like MVS who has unreliable hands, zero catch radius, and does separate.

Not saying Tee Higgins is bad, but at pick #30 you want more than a poor mans Alshon Jeffrey.

honestly, I am thinking if there are runs at certain positions, it pushes the best crop at other positions down to us.  seriously, if JT is there at 30, that is a legit game wrecker, you don't have this teeter/totter, he is legit.  take him there...I keep thinking they value OT and DT, wr is deep, but by the time we pick, the OT will be slim pickings and DT is not strong...take the best positional prospect, at RB its JT in my book.  go get em.  can you imagine that dude in december trucking some viking?  that is gold.

I mean, I'd have taken Chase Young at #208 instead of Vaughns but I guess it will do.

Ok...my final mock draft...some nice surprises here...

Cleveland in round 2 seems unlikely, but glad he's there. I doubt Wallace is there in the 6th, but that's a lot of value.

Obviously, there will be trades, but I would be satisfied with this draft. We get two dynamic playmakers on offense with Reagor and Gibson. A plus athlete to develop at tackle, with Pinter to develop inside, and maybe even RT. Wilson is still my pick at linebacker, and so is Hamilton at DL, who could play either inside or slide out to end. Hand is an underrated slot corner who can defend the run well. Morgan is the hometown favorite at QB...😊, and Taumoepeau is the h-back type of TE they can use.

Texas Tech LB Jordyn Brooks getting R1 talk at 30. He’s a dog and I love his film, but he doesn’t seem like a R1 player. It keeps getting said though that internet draft world is FAR off of the NFL this year. We should all probably go into this draft with zero preconceived notions about who should go where.

Here are a few things I am sure of about the 2020 NFL draft:

1.  The Packers will come away with 10 picks - plus or minus 3.

2.  The Vikings with 5 picks in the first three rounds will find a way to screw it up.  If they don't the picks will either not sign or get injured.

3.  I will eat my usual array of snacks.

4.  I will watch the draft with a cousin.  We both agree if we are COVID symptom free the tradition lives on.

5.  Teams will make decisions that us fans won't understand for a while - or maybe ever.  But it is one of the reasons we watch.  Maybe there should be post draft stats on which cities have the highest rate of TV repair/sales.  Just might indicate which fan bases are the most unhappy with the results.

I gave it a try....I'd take it.

I can live with this selection more than other WRs although I still see them looking at WR in R2. Jeremiah is pretty good IMO, he’s a former front office guy. Lots of Greg Jennings comparisons for Aiyuk.

Daniel Jeremiah says AZ St WR Brandon Aiyuk

I hope he’s wrong, though. While I’m okay with Aiyuk, I may puke if the Vikings land Jaylon Johnson.

There isn’t a CB in this draft that Aaron Rodgers won’t torch. I’m unconcerned with anyone the Vikings draft, they will he busts. Mark Zimner will be fired after Cousins will  turnover another mediocre 9-7 year and all this personnel will be poor fits for the next coach. Honestly I won’t be surprised if 3/4 of the NFCN coaches are fired after this year.

The Vikes' biggest problem is they have no cap space, and already lost key starters...

Detroit, Miami and LAC are huge wild cards at the top.  Common sense would say Detroit goes for Okudah b/c the lost Slay, Miami goes Tua/Herbert b/c they don't have a franchise QB, and LAC drafts whoever Miami doesn't.  But #3 is very very high for a CB, Tua has serious long term injury concerns, and Herbert may be way overrated.  Or Miami/LAC loves one of them and trades up with Detroit, allowing Detroit to get Okudah at better spot.  Nothing would shock me with those 3 teams.

It's gonna be interesting first round.

Getting ready for the first round.....hung my Packer flag, and hope they draft wisely.  #30 right???  Think they will draft a WR first??  and will Quintez Cepheus even be considered??  Later rounds I bet eh??

Not watching, but I will never forget Ron Jaworski(Jaws) explaining why Jason Campbell was a better QB than Rodgers. Derp

Really enjoyed watching the 2005 draft.......my boy friend looked terribly young then.  https://www.12up.com/posts/aar...packers-01e6j1jabj90

Za’Darius Smith is offering a free large pizza between 11am to 3pm to everyone that wants one at the Pizza Hut in his hometown of Greenville AL. Just roll through the drive through. Grab a large pie. Drive away.
I’ll say it again. How did Baltimore ever let him get away?
