He’s an interesting player that’s for sure. It’s kind of crazy that his highest number of sacks in a given year was only 2.5. That might be a thing that drops him out of the top 10.
That said, he’s certainly got the athleticism to be a potential All-Pro DT and I think he probably doesn’t make it to pick 22 just because of those freaky athletic test numbers.
Playing in colledge vs the NFLFU is oranges to apples. They roll the dice and hope it f"n works.
Knocking the GA players simply because of "lack of college production" is really stupid. That team was so talented and deep that everybody got some to the point another early 1 transferred out (Johnson) a rotational guy could be a Day 2 pick (Tindall) and maybe the best guy (Carter) is still there.

I've seen mock drafts where Safeties Brisker, Hill and Cine are available at #53, in the 2nd Round. Of course, that means they will be available at #22 & #29, too. I think drafting a Safety in the 1st two Rounds makes a lot of sense, for Gute and Co. It all depends on how much Gute values the position, in those early rounds.
If Olave is there at 22 then grab him. If not get the biggest/badest Offensive or Definsive lineman. I am thinking Kenyon Green who could be another Jenkins. . At 29 grab the Best Wr left probably Pickens, Watson or Datson.
All this talk about the Packers passing on WRs tells me one thing. We are picking 3 WRs on days 1 and 2.
And the GM will trust them all
One thing Gute seems to like is building a team by having versatile players on the OL and seems to be completely committed to building the defense especially the pass rush. So I would not be even a little shocked if he doesn't even think about the receivers until maybe round two.

Hoping we draft at least 2 WR/TE with the first 3 picks. People seem to think pass catchers grow on trees around here. I still dont understand why they extended Rodgers with a WR/TE group that is garbage. Would have been better off just rebuilding.

Look at the types of WRs the Packers have drafted since the turn of the century. From Javon Walker, Carl Ford, Terrance Murphy, Jennings, Clowney, Jordy, Brett Swain, *Cobb, Charles Johnson, Kevin Dorsey, Jeff Janis, Abbrederis, Adams, Ty Montgomery, Trevor Davis, Yancey, Dupree, MVS, ESB, J'Mon Moore, *Amari Rodgers.
Aside from the two two fire hydrants (and what was probably a generous measurement for Jennings), all those receivers have been 6'+ most over 200#. That may mean guys that don't fit their profile are what's left in the late first.
Do you really think Gutey has the same philosophy when drafting WR as Ron Wolf, Mike Sherman and Ted Thompson had? That would be the only reason you would equate what the Packers do over the next few days as to what the Packers did in the past.
1. He cut his teeth under TT, 2. who came up under Wolf, 3. his own picks have followed the mold, 4. and they’ve publicly stated numerous times the expectation of blocking ability from receivers.
‘It’s not absolute, but the indicator is strong.
Gutey is a disciple of Ted, who was a disciple of Ron. Yes, there is a reason the Packers haven't gone with a R1 WR or TE in 20 years. Maybe he breaks that mold considering they have #2 number 1 picks. Then again, Gute had that very same scenario a couple years ago and didn't choose a WR either.
Packers essentially have double the draft capital of last year despite having only one more pick total.

The last line in the article says it all. At this point, it’s all a guessing game. Nothing really points to it being Burks, just somebodies wishful thinking.

My guess is that the WR’s that they really want are gone by the time the pick rolls around. So plan B is BPA and pick up a WR in later rounds.
I think the only way the Packers DON’T draft Burks in the 1st Round is if:
-another team takes him before pick #22, or
-if the Packers select two other players with their 1st Round picks.
We should have a better idea how this all shakes out by Friday morning.

Two days until Gute shows us who he values and where. I'm done doing mock drafts.
Gute may just end up adding a few George's in R1. Mr. Karlaftis at 22 and Mr. Pickens at 28.

I saw a mock somewhere , can't remember where , we took both of them. 
Well, this turned out interesting. I decided to see how things might shake out if I traded up in the draft to nab Jameson Williams. This is on the off-chance the team thinks he's worth it, and they want to show Aaron they're all in...whatever...
I traded up with Washington, using 22 and 28, and I got #11, and #113 back. It does make it more difficult to match players to value later on. I reached with some picks, simply because it was a player I wanted, and I knew they wouldn't be there at the next pick. I didn't really land a top O-lineman. Chris Paul is ok...not great.
I hate drafting injured players but what's the timeline as far as when Jameson Williams is projected to be ready to play? WR's usually take a year or so before contributing heavily. If GB thinks he's the best WR then I can see them trading up to get him knowing that any WR they draft may not contribute heavily in year one.
