Order is tough

LT,RT (Tom's a decent tackle, but may be an elite center)

WR (They really need an "alpha")

OLB (assuming Preston is gone) They need a guy with some bend and lateral agility even if he's a specialist/3rd down guy.

S, S (they probably need 2)

CB

RB (x2?)

QB (even if Love does develop, grab another guy)

ILB (Campbell isn't reliable and McDuffie is slow)

I think you have it pretty well covered, only differences for me is that I'd have Safety right after RB and before CB or WR. Of course if a difference-maker like TE Bowers was there in the First Round I wouldn't pass on him just because we have two young TEs.

Yes! Bowers would be tough to pass up, if available, at our 1st  pick. I think Gute and Co are locked in on OL, with our first pick, though. A guy like Olu Fashanu or John Alt should fill the bill, there.

Fashanu? Any relation to the two big goons who played soccer in England during the 80’s? Big strapping lads who would throw their weight about the pitch.

I bet Alt is the son of the former Chiefs tackle.

I'd add Yosh as a keeper. He has played LT well. Myers is a back up, in my book. Runyan played LG well, when Jenkins was out. Maybe play Yosh at LT, Runyan at LG, Jenkins at C and move Rhyan into the RG spot with Tom in the RT spot???

That's fine for this year, but that is not a championship group of hogs.

We need LT, C, and RG upgrades in the worst way.     Hopefully you can address 2 of the 3 in this next draft and plug the last hole with a mid tier FA.

While sitting at pick 6, we still have 3 teams ahead of us in the tank race on our schedule.   Giants, Panthers, and Bears.

I hope we lose to the Giants there is a good chance we can pass them as they still have the Pats and Rams on their schedule.   It's reasonable possibility that we could end up 4 or 5 and land Fashanu.

Then, with the Jets 2nd or a trade down to late 2nd, grab the best Center on the board.

Last, pick up a decent guard via FA to replace JRJ.

Do those three things and you have provided J Love with a real chance to show us he is the future.    If he doesn't shine, you've got more draft ammo to keep building the trenches and a solid start at the foundation of the heart of the team, the OL.

The kicker comes if they’re at pick #6 and the first five are Williams, Maye, Harrison, Fashanu and Alt. Then the top-tier remaining guys are likely defensive players.

How good are Penix and the QB from MICH? I never thought Penix had that high of a ceiling at IND. Is it worth trading down to about #10, taking a guy like that, and adding draft capital?

These days I am not a Pennix fan first.  Which means he will be all pro

JJ McCarthy works for me.  Bring his coach too. Bo Nix looks good.   Haven't seen enough of MayeOnaise.   Also like Jayden Daniels and SHEdeur Sanders.  Not sure we have enough in the Tank for Caleb Williams.   SHEdeur probably won't come out.....can make more in college.

I like Penix, but his injury history is scary AF. He's going to get a LOT of medical probing prior to the draft and he'll be 24 shortly after. I really like Bo Nix, as well, but he's a few months older than Penix.

McCarthy is three years younger than those guys, and really looks raw to me. Live arm, athletic, has some swagger, not great touch on deep patterns or footwork. He's kind of reminds me of a skinny Josh Allen.

Packers top draft needs going into week 11.

Thoughts?

LT, G

RB

WR

CB

S

IDL

*QB

*Not saying Love won't be the guy in 2024. But it never hurts to draft a QB at the most important position in the game. See Ron Wolf.

I think OL and probably the secondary being the priorities this draft.  I can see a CB being very high on their board because I worry about Alexander's long term lingering back injury and  who knows about Stokes.

I think playmakers on offense at RB and WR may also be a priority.  They have some decent guys at WR who may grow but they need someone who can make some big time plays.   Watson has the physical tools to do that but he hasn't done it so far so they can't wait around too long to find someone who is a playmaker.

As for QB I really don't think they they will go high for a QB.  And if they do it will be around the 3rd round.  This QB class is very deep so they won't have to go for a QB in the first round they can find someone if they think they need one in a lter round.   IMHO QB is not the issue for this offense its playmakers and OL and lack of a running game.

Entitled shit-heel attitude...check!

Who does he think he is? Eli Manning? Vernon Davis? The punk will be gone by the time the number three spot, in the draft, is on the clock. I'd guess either AZ or Da Bares get him.

One of the more disappointing things this season is that our 2nd year WRs have not taken that 2nd year step. Reed, Wicks, and Musgrave have all been better than Watson, Doubs, and Toure. Doubs is doing OK but I really thought he'd be better and maybe be a Greg Jennings type WR.

CHI could nab him and Bowers.  But the smarter play, if they're not after a QB, would be to trade one of their top spots to a team desperate for Maye or Williams, load up on high picks and go from there.  They need OL.

Things will get really interesting if they take DM or CW.

Only the Bears are in the draft position to pick a franchise QB every year.
