And if the knee flairs up again in2024  week 2 and he goes back on IR how is that a win for the Packers?   Let him be somebody else's problem.

If the doctors had done it right the first few times then we would not be having this discussion. They knew this might have been an issue yet they went all conservative on the surgery. The assumption, for many, is that it will always be an issue. We really don’t know for sure but I think they got it right this time. Now it’s probably been done right, so it won’t be an issue going forward. From what I understand, there will still be a cap hit no matter what. So an extension makes sense with money up front to help this year. The LT is the second most important player on offense. That’s why they get the big bucks. And the guys we have there now aren’t cutting it.

Pennix has a weird throwing motion but dead on accurate.

Bo Nix  JJ McCarthy studs

Havent seen Mayo

Caleb Williams seems like a complicated fella.  Ridiculous talent

Jayden Daniels stud.

Little Deion looks good

Plenty of hit / miss R1 dudes

Deacon Hill best of bunch if he declares

Niners were reportedly going to take DeGuara in 6th round. Packers took the wrong 5th rounder (Kittle)

Here's the article where Maiocco predicted Niners would take him in 6th. He spoke on this mock draft too and said he'd heard a few things....Matt is pretty well plugged in to the Niners org. He gets stuff right much more than wrong.

All they had to do was look at the measurables. EVERY elite TE in the last 40 years has run the 40 in under 4.7. It doesn't guarantee success but if a guy is slow coming out of college he isn't going to get any faster as he ages. I always thought the biggest personnel blunders during AR's tenure was years we did not have a TE that could run. Years we had Finley (poor 40 time at he combine, but in 4.6 range at his pro day), Cook (4.5), and pre-injury Tonyan (4.58), AR was at his best. Bringing in guys like Bennett and Graham, whom neither could run at that point, was a failure. That is what is so exciting about Musgrave, and to a lesser sense Kraft, we have some speed at that position.

Better to replace a player a year too early than a year too late.   That certainly applies to Bak.

A year too early?? That would have been 3 years ago. At this point rework the contract and keep him.

The year too early refers to 2024, not 2021.   Get it?

Why would he rework the contract. he knows the J E T S Jets Jets Jets will pay him more than the Packers.  Let him walk, if he can that is.

CBS Sports Mock Drafts: 3 CBS analysts provide their mock picks. Green Bay picks at #20, in the 1st round. Two say Gute selects Cooper DeJean, CB, Iowa and one says we get Amarius Mims, OT Georgia. Hoping for the OT guy, myself.

I don't think either of those players will be available at #32.

Speculating too much about the draft when:

-the college football season isn’t yet over;

-the NFL season isn’t over yet;

-the NFL draft order isn’t even determined;

-free agency hasn’t started, essential in determing team needs;

-and the combine and pre draft workouts haven’t taken place;

is an exercise in futility.

There's a 7 year old kid, in pee wee football....I'm following his career. He'll be replacing Jordan Love in 15 years. Kids got an arm!

Some scouts do follow players from their freshman year in high school. They talk to the families to understand upbringing and family dynamics.

It's funny cuz it's true.

It's still fun to do. Many sites have mock drafts, now. Still waiting for some sites to put up their Big Boards, though.

I've read that scouts had been following AJ Dillon, since High School.

I want a "Set-and-forget" left tackle in a big way, though Mims likely isn't instant help. He's an extremely raw, traits guy with few starts, and his limited experience is on the right side. Due to injury he has about half a college season as a starter.

If we do get to pick at #20, or lower, all the stud OTs in Alt, Fashanu and Latham will, most likely, be off the board when our pick comes around. Our Scouting department had better do its homework on OTs left on the board, when we pick, and if there is value in going after a player in the later rounds.
