I gotta believe GB ends up with 2 OL by the end of R3.  No other pressing needs on offense other than RB, which are typically easy to find on Day 3.

I know a lot of draft capital has been put into the defense in recent years but I'd keep tossing resources in that direction.

Found on the internet:

We will be picking too far down to hit on any of the top 3 OTs. We could probably trade back to mid 20s and pick Amarius Mims-OT-Georgia. He would be our LT for 10 years. If he is gone pick the can't miss Safety from Minnesota-Tyler Nubin. Then pick Jordan Morgan-OT-Arizona with our first 2nd rounder. He is pretty close to the top 6 tackles and is a true LT.

I would take Xavier Legette-WR-South Carolina with our other 2nd rounder. He would become our #1 WR. His tape is fantastic and he catches everything. 6'3, 230 lbs, and reported high 4.2 speed. 3 picks-3 really good starters. Or Johnny Wilson-WR-Florida State. He reminds me of the TE the Giants got from the Raiders. He is a gamechanger @ 6'7, 235 and 4.4 speed. He could play WR and TE and is a great blocker.

Round 3 is RB- I like Braelon Allen-Wisconsin, and Marshawn Lloyd-USC. Later sleeper pick is Isaiah Davis-South Dakota State. Almost as big and fast as Braelon Allen. Other 3rd rounder and 4ths best ILB, best CB, another lineman. Maybe Walter Rouse-OT-Nebraska. Started 4 years at Stanford and Nebraska @ LT.

That’s weirdly familiar, though I admit I seem to have an affinity for SC receivers and Memphis RBs.

I like Lloyd a lot , as well. He seems to have a good grasp of blitz pickup as well as being a good runner and solid receiver.

FINALLY!! The white team has someone to root for.

5 picks in the first 100. Gotta like it

According to Tankathon, the Mighty Green Bay Packers have the 4th most draft capital of any team entering the 2024 selection event in Detroit

Jim Nagy has been Executive Director of the Senior Bowl for years now and some of you draftniks will recognize his name.

I didn't realize he got his start in Titletown...

He's currently under consideration as an NFL GM

Jim Nagy, executive director of the Senior Bowl: Nagy got his start in the NFL with the Packers in 1996 as a PR intern. When his regular duties were done for the day, he was welcomed into scouting sessions that included the likes of general manager Ron Wolf and future general managers John Dorsey, Reggie McKenzie and Ted Thompson.

Nagy took over the Senior Bowl in 2018. At that post, he’s done everything an NFL general manager has to do from scouting to budgeting.

Is DeJean a pure CB or does he project as a S in the NFL?

I think FS is his position long term.

So many mock drafts had us taking Van Ness last year and I just didn't see them making that pick. So I guess I'll just doubt this one as well.

With a win this weekend and a spot in the playoffs, I'm intrigued by Kingsley Suamataia from BYU for the Packers first-round pick.

1. He's a value position at LT.

2. He's a big.

3. He won't turn 21 for a couple more weeks.

4. He has some nasty in him, which I'm not sure the Packers have much of up front right now.

They'll be way out of range for Alt or Fashanu, he's younger than Johnathan Morgan, JAvon Foster and Patrick Paul, and he has LT experience, unlike Latham and Mims.

I wonder if the true value of each team's draft picks could be calculated by factoring in the quality/success rates of the GMs and their scouting departments.  Some teams will get more value from the draft simply from their own drafting ability.

The most surprising team on that list is SF.  They seem to trade picks for top players in-season nearly every year.  I know the bulk of their picks are second and third day but still.  GB has 5 top 100 picks, SF still has 4.

So, do we take a stud player, in a position that we do not need, so much, such as a Brock Bowers, TE or a Jared Verse, DE/Edge, or a JerZhan Newton, DT, if they are sitting there when our pick rolls around? I have a feeling Gute will trade in and out of rounds, like he did when we drafted Jaire.
