We don't know who Gute may be looking at in FA, so there is added uncertainty with any mock.  Drafting OL seems to be the GB way as opposed to FA.  I wonder what they're thinking about C.  Meyers was much maligned through most of the year but seemed to stabilize late and into the playoffs.  Rhyan was still only part time because his pass blocking was a minus.  Those are two spots Gute might be looking at.

Electrolytes work, but many pro athletes still swear by pickle juice. (One pro hockey player even has his own line of it: P20.) They are doing more research on it and finding out it may shortcircuit cramps:

"People may assume athletes drink pickle juice to boost their levels of electrolytes, but that’s not the case β€” the effect is due to the acid in the brine triggering a nerve reflex in the throat and happens before the pickle juice even hits the stomach, he notes.

β€œ'When the acid enters the mouth and it splashes the back of the throat, there is a nerve receptor there that is sensitive to acid. When that receptor fires, it communicates down the spinal cord where the cramp is happening,' Tapper tells TODAY.com.

β€œ'It’s just a nerve firing in a loop. And then that signal says β€˜Stop.’”

Others are more skeptical. The taste is something else, though.                     Link to story.

Oh, how interesting. The human body. So complex.

Watching Creed Humphrey make Ed Oliver the invisible man Sunday had me thinking how even better our o-line could have be.

...but but but our superb scouting staff was shrewd enough to pass on Humphrey (top ranked C of the draft) because he didn't play for O$U and therefore had no chance of being the next Corey Linsley

*Myers was projected to go in the 4th round

Do we stay with Myers? I hear he calls the schemes well, and the players seem to like that part of his game. It is important. Or do we start over at center?

I think we stay with Myers as he finished the season strong. Tom can play C very well, as can Jenkins. Runyan and Rhyan at RG seems to be working. I'll bet Gute drafts guys who can play multiple positions, along the OL. I would not be surprised to see him draft a DB with our 1st pick, though. Don't count out a DT, to relieve Kenny Clark, either, somewhere early on.

5 picks in top 100. If no trades, I want 5 football players that contribute as rookies. That can happen in all 3 facets of the game.

Does Gutekunst make a trade or two back in order to get extra early picks for next year's draft in Green Bay? It would be interesting for extra hype/

This is another super WR draft, as well. There are three receivers I could see them being interested in at the right spot.

Xavier Legette might slide a decent way into Round 2, and he has a good chance to be an "alpha". He's tall and he's fast, and in most years he'd be a lock for Round 1, but there's Harrison, Odunze, Nabers, Coleman, Brian Thomas and Troy Franklin probably in front of him. That's a sick group. Then there's Adonai Mitchell, Xavier Worthy, Ja'Lynn Polk and Brendan Rice likely behind him, with Mitchell having a chance to go ahead. There's also Ladd McConkey from GA who someone might see as a Cooper Cupp type.

Devontez Walker from NC is a tall deep threat, and with so many good receivers he could fall a ways. He's kind of a MVS/Watson with a limited route tree, but he can take the top off and should test well.

Johnny Wilson from FL State is huge. Like 6'(maybe)7" huge and about 240# and expected to run in the low-to-mid 4.4s. Just an absolute freak. His routes aren't great, he's still pretty raw and his hand placement is spotty, but that's not something Gutekunst seems to worry about and he's physical enough to bring in contested catches and bury fools in the run game.

Packers have historically believed CB is worth a 1st round pick and they have a need there IMO because you cannot assume Stokes will return to rookie form where he looked promising. No idea if S is not worth spending in the 2024 draft, but this isn't the first time I've read there isn't value there at S where GB will be picking:

Valentine looks really really good. Not sure I would replace him in the starting line up. The presence of Valentine is the reason Rasul was traded.

I'll be curious to see some times on these guys. Eye test says Javon Bullard has a noticable speed advantage over Calen Bullock, whom I think looks a little quicker than Tyler Nubin, for example, but many ranking them would put them in reverse order. Speed obviously isn't everything, but we know Gutey likes his athletes.

I also would have no problem with them taking Kam Kinchens in the late first.

Herschel sure loves his WR draft profiles. Herschel on draft day when the Packers have at WR: prime Jerry Rice, prime TO, prime Megatron, prime Randy Moss, prime Jordy Nelson and prime Tyreek Hill.

So Mr. "Best Player Available" doesn't want the Packers to take the actual best player available if it's a wide receiver?

It depends if Gutey thinks his guy is there and how far he can jump the board using 25 & 41.

I'm all about it, yes even at WR if it's going to improve this team.

You can never give your 25 year old superstar QB enough weapons

25, 41, 57... Gets you to about 6th or 7th in the draft.

If they feel a field tilting, Pro-Bowl potential HoF'er is there....go get him!!

If he was there and that happened, there may be glorious pandaemonium. So many Bears fans are trying to will a Williams/Harrison first round, and the Packers getting Harrison after so many were pissed that it looks like Love is going to be great would cause some epic meltdowns from them alone.

Ron Wolf trading for Favre might still be the boldest (positive) draft move in Packers history, but it would be damned close.
