Hyde starting at S and Hayward isn't hurt yet are the two things I noticed.
Sounds like tomorrow will be their annual team build, then a practice on Thursday.... then nothing for a 5 weeks.
On Perry missing time... "I don't think it helps any player to miss the whole off-season. ...Told the team about it today. Our coaching staff took a different approach... to get all that work done, nothing changes. You have the season to get ready for. To do it over a nine-week period and for a player to miss all of it, it's not a good position for a player to be in."
On if it's the foot... "He's injured."
Well, that's not exactly a ringing endorsement of where he see's Perry. Maybe I am reading too much into this, but MM sounds annoyed.
Annoyed with the player or annoyed with the med staff and their conservative ways? CM3 is still out from his thumb re-break.
With CMIII however, you are hearing things like "getting better" "making progress" "will be ready for TC" and "coming along".
Contrast that with Perry, we're not hearing those things unless I missed something. And of course there is no doubting what CMIII is like when healthy. Perry has been consistently..inconsistent.
IMO, I don't know that even if healthy Perry would be penciled in as a starter. CMIII and Peppers would be the logical starters. Neal right behind them. Then I would guess Perry is to be a rotational guy to keep the starters fresh.
Does not bode well for a 1st round pick. Let's hope the foot heals up fast
1 more stud to unleash from the stable.
PUP him....
Other than the AR lap falling episode, TT has had some tough luck in the 1st round.
Today's workout cancelled for a team-building function. Last one is tomorrow, open to the public.
Wish Eternal Game Face was going to these....
First item on the agenda is trust falls, followed by a game of Two Truths And a Lie and finally making a diversity quilt.
From the WTF category: Concussion... to a neck injury he denied... to possibly career ending?
Perhaps the biggest concern is about Franklin, the fourth-round pick from UCLA who finished his rookie season last year on injured reserve following a neck injury. The Packers are worried that Franklin's neck injury might be career-threatening. According to two people with knowledge of his situation, the Packers are putting Franklin through more tests to determine whether it's safe for him to continue playing.
Even at that, Franklin appeared to lose favor with McCarthy even before his injury. Assuming the injury rumor are not true, it wouldn't surprise me if Franklin was fighting for a roster spot.
At least Harris seems to be back and healthy.
Agree, good to have Harris. Somebody was gonna get cut anyway.
The Packers have to be leading the universe in players lost to career ending neck injuries.
rong.
That would be horse thieves & cattle rustlers.
RE: Harris
Been reading that they're trying him at KR. Did return some kicks at Troy - 14 returns, 278 yards, 19.9 avg. No TDs.
GB tried Franklin at KR last year too, now its Harris' turn
If he is going to ber active on gameday, he needs to do more than # 3 RB duties
I like having a beefier KR too
Where is Doc Benji with the dirt on this caper
Scott Tolzien with a couple nice throws to Myles White and Jared Abbrederis, pulling it down the sideline
Tolzien to Abbrederis... A lot of people on this forum just wet their pants.

GB seems to be a hot bed for career ending neck injuries. WTF?
Tolzien to Abbrederis........have ALWAYS loved that statement.
It's not something Packers fans want to hear this season.

In garbage time I do
Tolzien to Abbrederis........have ALWAYS loved that statement.
So how is it that a team known for it's running attack (WI) end up with a WR & QB in GB?????
That's exactly why.
QB & WR especially both have hidden talant that other teams cannot see or didn't take note or are afraid of his injury history.
Just another lap-faller for TT & crew.
Oh ya, this is a great idea!
DL coach Mike Trgovac works with the OL, while OL coach James Campen works with the DL.
Are they playing kick-ball? That Crosby's deparment. Or are they cross training there as well????
^^ That's not an actual tweet.
#realprettymouth
Eddie Lacy picked off a Tolzien pass that went through Adam's hands in camp today. Eddie was playing safety.
Bulaga was playing ILB. Bulaga dropped into coverage and started yelling "Bulaga Island"!
All that really happened. Seriously. WTF is mad Mike thinking?
List of vet's that did not practice today:
Rodgers
Flynn
Nelson
Kuhn
Sitton
Lang
Crosby
Matthews
Hawk
Tramon
B. Jones
Peppers
Bush
Raji
Guion
Goode
And now we wait until July 25th.
McCarthy post practice:
Micah Hyde looks very comfortable as far as all the different responsibilities he's been asked to do.
We feel good about what's in. We also realize when you get back in training camp it's a different tempo. Competing for jobs.
Today's practice was what we look for. Younger players got a lot of reps that they didn't get. Scott Tolzien got a lot better today.
on Bulaga's offseason: All players coming off injuries you want to get back out there. Bryan's done lot of good things. Bigger, stronger
on Richard Rodgers: He was very productive. One thing that jumped out for a rookie in an offseason program.
I have some unfortunate news about Johnathan Franklin. Organization will address it tomorrow. He will not be back with us.
Damn! That is unfortunate news.
Probably a degenerative issue with his neck or spine.
Sorry Johnathan. It's definitely a tough sport & there is no way, no how, they will risk any players long term health.
All that really happened. Seriously. WTF is mad Mike thinking?
It's "Walk a mile in someone else's cast" day. Gotta love Packer team building.
Geez, I was wondering who would have to be cut from this group of RBs, looks like Franklin's health has answered that. How crappy.
Dammit. Well it certainly clears up the RB situation. Barring any other "unfortunate" news, we'll see a backfield of Lacy, Starks, Harris and Kuhn.
