Marino, Kelly, Tarkenton.

Even if you're a great QB on good teams. It's effing hard to win a SB. Always has been. Always will be.

Youre in a much better spot if you have a truly great QB. It's also always been that way.

Dexter Jackson. Larry Brown.  Right place. Right time. Marginal talent.

Best defensive players to get MVP nods in the SB are Randy White, Jake Scott and Rod Martin. Great defensive players.

Shoeless Joe,

You are fighting a losing battle, man.

Give it up.

The QB position is BY FAR the most influential position with respect to W's and L's.  Sure there are exceptions - like when a team has incredible talent elsewhere that can compensate for some QB lack.

phaederus,

If I ever get to a point in my life that I need any advice from you, please have Pakrz shoot me in the face. Thanks in advance.

Just give him this afterwards...

You don't need the advice, but the advice stands on it's own, irregardless.

ftfy

I'm not sure just what "advice" I should be taking away from all of this. I agree that an average QB having a career game or starting an "elite" QB gives their team a better chance to win a game. I also believe that an ambidextrous pitcher with an 178 MPH fastball and a curve that breaks 7 feet will also have a better chance of winning a MLB beisebol game.

Is there something more that I'm missing?

Don't know what ftfy means.

When you write something like:

Jeff Hostetler, Brad Johnson & Mark Rypien all won a SB too. They all musta been elite.

I suppose I do not understand its intent outside of trying to speak contrary to what has been proposed is the impact of the QB position.

Whatever and peace.

I just know this defense is going to be dramatically better than the last 3 years. They obviously have some sort of a plan for our so called "starting" ILB's

NFL suspends four players not under contract

Former Packers cornerback Jarrett Bush, former Panthers safety Jakar Hamilton, former Colts cornerback Loucheiz Purifoy and former Patriots running back Quentin Hines have all been suspended, according to Howard Balzer of Sports Xchange.

That's some big balls, suspending people that are not part of your organization. I'm guessing these 4 are all still listed in the NFLPA ranks so they are fair game for the NFL-Goodell?
