Chow time! Something about you smells delicious! It must be that self proclaimed genius with a dash of narcissism I'm detecting.
Exactly what I thought. You play the bully well.
I've stated opinions on players, that is what the point of this thread afterall, but I've never called other posters stupid or anything of the like. Sorry for rubbing you the wrong way.
I've stated opinions on players
But they aren't valid opinions, in that you never back them up - and when politely asked for supporting evidence all you had was a snarky comment about a comb-over and calling a player lazy. How can anybody respect that crapola ?
X4 is open to all opinions, but you have to offer more than just whining and name calling
and telling everybody that in rushrunner you trust.
Karma doesn't have a menu; you get served what you deserve.
And your posts here so far, deserve to be pooped on.
If you'd like something better, offer something better. Pretty simple concept
Let Cobb go. It's a running league now.
Pay Bullyaga. and of course always keep Bush.

Oooo chile'! Is that righteous indignation cookin?! Double helpin' please!

Cya Aaron
I'd let Arod go and pick up Kissbicepnick.
Raji is a year by year proposition simply due to injury and that he was playing out of position. Do I think he's Ngata at NT? No, but at minimum he's a very solid contributor/starter.
Kuhn is Kuhn, he made the most of his abilities and while we can all piss our pants about Johnny on the goalline, his blocking and offensive positioning is what made him valuable this year.
TT won't compete with wild contracts thrown at Cobb on the first day. If it's going to happen, Cobb will sign with the Packers the day of or a couple days in. If some team is stupid enough to pitch 4 to 5 million over his worth, driving up the WR market in general, I wish you God's speed Randall. With that cleared, I think the rest of the FA's are easy and it comes down more to evaluation of injury and age. Nothing ground breaking.

If Henry won't accept that apology, I will.
Henry's not a bully; he's a free-range a$$hole. Learn the difference.quote:Exactly what I thought. You play the bully well.

There's a wrong way?
@RobDemovsky: Two of the #Packers RFAs -- Barclay and Boykin -- are still waiting to hear about tenders. Not sure about the third -- Richardson.
Only if Rush is doing the rubbing. ****ing caloused hands From all that time he spends rubbing himself.

He has flashed talent but I have to disagree as he looks more like a one year wonder to me. What has he done since 2010? In his contract year he was consistently pushed out of the hole against single blocks. If he was eating up two guys, great, but he wasn't and it made are weak LB's look even worse than they are.
I liked the one year deal last year and wouldn't be opposed to another prove it deal. No way do I trust him enough to want anything multi year.
@RobDemovsky: Packers CB Davon House headed to the open market, his agent says.
...GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Green Bay Packers are taking a wait-and-see approach with at least one of their free-agent cornerbacks.
It means Davon House will get the chance to talk with other teams.
"I think he's going to hit the market," House's agent, Kenny Zuckerman, said Friday afternoon. "There will be a lot of interest."That does not mean House is averse to a return to the Packers, who drafted him in the fourth round in 2011, or that the Packers don't have an interest in re-signing him. It just means general manager Ted Thompson will, in part, allow the market to dictate House's value.
It's an approach he often takes with their free agents. Thompson and vice president of player finance Russ Ball no doubt have a dollar figure in mind for House's value, but if the market greatly exceeds that, they might be unlikely to get into a bidding war...Like all unrestricted free agents, House and his agent are free to start talking to other teams at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, but cannot sign with a new team until Tuesday.

Because he showed up at NT, not DE. And don't discount what he was being asked to do as a DE either. It was a bad fit. His single best talent as a big man flat out rushing up the gut was negated. The injury year doesn't help but he's still young and playing in the proper position. He's worth the one year contract he'll likely get. Either way he's going to be a bargain.

Even though he has a huge ass & thighs, he really doesn't anchor very well as you've noted.
BJ isn't the traditional immovable NT like Ngata or Wilfork or even Pickett
His game is more penetration and he's a load when he's going forward.
Lined up vs guards and centers, his center of gravity is much closer to the LOS and he can shoot through with his quick first step. At the end of that first step, he is in the backfield.
Lined up outside vs the long-armed OTs, he gets beat 'cause they get their hands on him first and his quick first step is negated.
An OT and DE are yards apart instead of inches apart like a Center and NT
He'll likely get a 1 year deal and we'll see how he does going forward, literally.
Thanks! Now I'm horny.
Regardless of how optimistic we are on the effectiveness of Raji we do seem to be in agreement that another 1 year deal for Raji is the best way to go. I certainly hope you are right. I'd still have a plan B, be that a player in the draft or someone in the Guion mold, a cheap vet. I'm sure Ted is 2 steps ahead of us.
Thanks! Now I'm horny.
I am sure you meant "hungry".
On the eve of the legal tampering period how optimistic are you guys that Cobb and/or Bulaga will be Packers in 2015?
Good news on Raji is that he's proven that he can be an effective player. Certainly his poor seasons can be attributed both to being out of position as well as his own lack of motivation/preparation. Gotta believe Dom played him at the 5 technique to get both he and Pickett on the field at the same time...bad result. Also have seen Raji at the nose getting worked (against SF in the playoffs is one horrible memory)....was he lazy and out of shape after he tasted glory in 2010' ?? OR was he being asked to do something he's not well suited for ? (Two Gap Nose)
By all accounts, he had a renewed attitude and was playing some of his best ball up to the biceps tear last pre-season. Come back and do it again.
Raji is a one gap player. Ask him to play nose and simply anchor and you will see what we saw against the 49ers....a player on skates. Let him play to his strength and he can be disruptive.

I'll tell you when they sign a contract. Buluga I would say is a pretty solid chance, flip a coin on Cobb considering the Raiders and Jags silliness.
As far as bringing in a vet NT to compete/rotate with Raji and Guion, absolutely makes sense. Sometimes you need a pig in there and Guion did okay but he isn't a true plugger either. Point being, the way the defense was retooled, I don't think they are looking for a straight up 2 gap guy for anything but spot duty. Pennel is a pig, but raw. Long, lean athletic guys that can move down the line. Honestly, this is Raji's best setup. Penetrate and flow down the line.
If we can get some Daniels improvement from Pennel.....
was this about the time last year when shields signed? hours before the tampering deadline?
A few hours after.
Demovsky has a chronology of last year's FA period for the Packers.

Well, Letroy Guion is in the Guion mold.
I'd be happy with Raji, Guion and Mike Pennel as plans A, B and C.

I'm sure you have no idea where Ted is.
Of course. He does his best work when none of us, including the press, know.
I think resigning Bulaga should be TT's priority to keep the line intact. I would love to have Cobb back also but losing Bulaga would be more disruptive than losing Cobb.
Ted may have over 32 million in cap space but at the end of the day he is going to keep 10 to 15 million going into the season. So that brings the spending back down to 20 million, take out the draft class at 5 and that leaves 15 million for free agents. I hope his first priority is signing Bulaga. Packers have shown they can be successful with different WRs and with Adams, Abby, and Jannis coming in for their second year, team is still solid there. If Cobb was a Dez Bryant type it would be a no brainer but if he is asking over 9 million then thanks Randall but cya. My grandson will still wear your Jersey proudly. Sign Bulaga and get another good draft class.
I also think there's a good chance they bring back Bulaga and Tramon. I think House and Cobb are almost certainly goners unless they are willing to take less money from GB
I would love to have Cobb back also but losing Bulaga would be more disruptive than losing Cobb.
Disagree. The team plugged in an undrafted Don Barclay and managed fairly well. Cobb's production wouldn't be nearly that easy to replace.
Perhaps it's just wishful thinking, but I still think the two sides manage to come together and Cobb remains a Packer.
I don't think anything is dead. Hell, my guess is players at least want to go through the 3 day tampering period just to see what is thrown their way. Curious to see how the head games are played over this 3 day period. Some other team throwing out some bogus number just to coax the player into FA or vice versa.
I think resigning Bulaga should be TT's priority to keep the line intact.
Agreed.
And I don't believe anybody sees Bryan as an LT anymore, so that helps on the compensation side.

I think managed fairly well should be changed to just plain managed. You invest in bookends and you already have a still developing Bak on the other side. Barclay may develop more but he is not the same caliber player as Buluga.
Personally, while Cobb can be a difference maker the commitment to the line that protects the real difference maker has to take precedent.
