Glad to hear Raji is doing well.  I was very pleased to see he's been so active with the team despite losing out on a huge contract last year then getting hurt.  Would have been easy to walk away.

I'm in the "Raji at NT is better than Raji at DE" camp.  I know not everyone agrees with that but I really want Raji back.  I think this team would have been much better with him last year.  Hope it gets done.  You could do worse than Raji, Guion, Daniels, Jones and Boyd.

Hey, check out B.J. Raji's rehab!   The guy can back squat 1,100 pounds?!?!?!?!?!

Seattle signed CB Cary Williams a few days ago. Market is dwindling for Tramon

Three teams that reportedly displayed some degree of interest in Williams have now all committed money to other cornerbacks in free agency.

In addition to the Saints, the both the Seattle Seahawks and Philadelphia Eagles were interested in Williams but have since signed Cary Williams and Byron Maxwell respectively.

Before the start of free agency, Williams reportedly turned down a two-year, $8 million offer from the Green Bay Packers, according to Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

It's unknown whether the Packers' offer is still on the table or whether Williams will have to re-adjust his expectations after seeing several opportunities dry up.

Now you have to wonder whether Tramon has contract remorse (ala Jennings) for not accepting the 8 mil deal TT offered and if GB will now offer less?. Sounds like William's opportunities elsewhere have dried up quickly.

There are rumblings that the Raiders may make a run. There are always bad teams with lots of money willing to over pay. I don't think he wants to leave. He's a better coverage guy than Browner.

I look at it differently than Bob.

Packers made Tramon a very good offer, but he just wanted to look around a bit too

No worries. He used the other teams, and the other teams used him.

The Packers didn't take their offer off the table - no testosterone from Ted or Russ.

" here's our very good offer, let us know when you are ready to go"

That's how you play when you know you're holding Aces.

But the agent has to try a bluff to get mo' money, so they take a little trip, release a few tweets and try to squeeze TT a bit. No worries.

What did Cobb say after he signed ?

“Saturday morning, I told Jimmy to get it done. I was scared,” Cobb admitted. “No lie. I didn’t know if Green Bay had given up on me or what, since we hadn’t heard from them in two weeks, since their last offer. I was nervous. I said, ‘Get it done. Whatever I have to do to get back to Green Bay, just make it happen.’

The Packers showed a firm commitment to Tramon when they let House go

They also made him a fair offer; I can't imagine he'd turn it down

All the rest of that stuff was just agent masturbation

If TT is smart, he'll toss in a little B-day present when Williams turns 32 on Monday

What do Bob's apocryphal sources say now?

Don't do it, T.

@RapSheet: #Packers CB Tramon Williams is visiting the Cleveland #Browns today, source said. They had been looking for corner help.

Satori time for Rodney.

@PackerUpdate: Looks like Tramon is trying to squeeze more money and/or years out of Ted. There's no way he wants to finish career in Cleveland.

Word is Johhny Highball's rehab stint took and he's doing great. Now he just needs to learn how to play QB. Hard to imagine Tramon agreeing to go there. Tramon playing cards with Ted reminds me of, "usually I would've let him go on chewing those Oreos till he was dead broke".

Is this true? or IS AN AGENT PLAYING GAMES?

Now you know why Ted doesn't blink.

We've treated you fairly. We've offered a deal that is the maximum we can live with. Can you live with it? Oh...BTW....You still get to play on a contending team with ultimate facilities  & we'll pay out your contract, provided you live up to the terms.

How much money do you need? - Jordy Nelson

Really? So whoever offers the most cash is the absolute deciding factor?

Doesn't matter if it's Jacksonville or the Titans?

Are you playing the game to win? Or are you just playing to collect a paycheck?

That's an odd way to look at it. If you think that's true, he's one of very few that has reached the pinnacle of their respective sport and not cared about getting back.

Not that few.

That's really easy for someone who isn't turning down about $6 Million dollars to say.

PuhLease don't give me the he already has made $40 million, what is $6 million more going to do argument.   $6 million more is going to do the things you dream about doing and keep that $40 million intact, that's what.

If he can get a 5% yearly return on a $6 million principal, that's 300K salary for the rest of his life.   Now he can spend that $40 million on hookers, blow and boats.  Persnoally, I would do it in reverse and invest the $40 and have a $2 million salary, but I'm not a professional athlete.
