Yeah, all he got out of it was being closer to his grand parents and ton of $$$.

He could have had the $$$ and team success in GB. Hope paw paw and mee maw appreciate it.

"all he got"

I'd take 50% less salary to NOT live in Wisconsin.    Today was mid 60's with no wind and not a cloud in the sky.    Kid is out of school for "winter" break so my wife took her to meet up with some of her buds at the park to play soccer and hang out.     In WI, the kid would be on the gaming system and the parents would be at the corner bar eating fried cheese bitching about Jaire Alexander being a "thug."

I'd hate for Adams to be in a bad situation, but I can't believe he wouldn't have considered at least the possibility of a QB change before making his deal. Whether from injury (more likely) or from poor performance (less likely), the end result is the same for him.

However, it's the Raiders, so boo-hoo.
I'll try not to cry myself to sleep tonight.

Right, because kids actually die if they go outside in the winter.  Makes you wonder how all those adults learned to ski, skate, ice fish, snowmobile, snowshoe, ride fat tire bikes in the snow, etc.

Gee, if only he would have stayed here to play with an actual Hall of Fame quarterback, for a similar amount of money, most probably be in the playoffs, and have some of the best stats of his career.

Oh well, he’s by his grandparents and his QB best friend is watching him from the stands run go routes into the off-season with Stidham being his future.

I'll hang up and wait for YaYa to respond.

I'd say last call. As long as you get up before she does,  and don't forget your wallet, you're golden.

Adams is suffering a severe case of buyers remorse.   I wonder if his contract has a buyout in case Carr is traded or released?   Maybe the Packers can trade Rodgers for Adams and Carr.  Then they can be team mates again but Love will be the starter.

Let’s ride was the deal we should have taken.    Oh well. I’m still mad we didn’t take TJ Watt.

and I plan on mentioning it in every post along with crappy basketball analogies

Dream from heaven....

Adams has 1300 yards and 12 TDs and will have around 100 catches.  His stats are just fine without Rodgers throwing him the ball because he’s still, like, really good.

What he should have thought about was joining a Raiders franchise that’s been a total mess since the early 2000s.

Carr will get all the blame but the dysfunction goes way beyond the QB.  Vegas isn’t Houston or Cleveland, but it’s not far behind them either.

At least they've had coaching stability.

Time could prove me wrong, but I think McDaniels will prove to be a fairly shitty HC. His previous stint wasn't good either and I really think he benefitted from years of Brady and Belicheat.

He had a stupid amount of talent going into the 2022 season on offense and they way underperformed. Ya, some of that is on Carr. But even with Carr, plenty of offensive coordinators would have killed to have that roster on offense.

17 traded a traditionally stable franchise for a traditionally dysfunctional one. Big boy decisions have big boy consequences. "It's not personal, it's just business..." blah fuckin blah...

In the short term, both the Packers and Raiders lost in the deal. But if 9, 7 and 95 end up being solid to great starters, then it was the right decision for the Packers. Truth be told, if only 1 of those 3 ends up being a great player, it was still the right decision. While you can always find cap money, extending 17 likely meant we'd be saying adios to Jenkins.

McDaniel is an absolute clown of a HC in the mold of Charlie Weis, Matt Patricia, Brian Flores, etc. You could put Tom Brady in there, and they'd still be awful. Carr is just the latest blame du jour.

Def would have lost Jenkins, and probably wouldn't have signed Douglas or Devondre.  That said we still would have wound up with Wyatt in the draft.  That was our original pick.  Walker and Watson happened because of the Vegas trade.

In the end I just think Adams wanted to live in Vegas more than GB.  He chose a lifestyle over a team.

In short, he did what he wanted to do.

Good for him.   Move on.

If Watson stays healthy, he's already a clear #1 WR. And defenses are realizing that and playing him accordingly. The Rams sent Ramsey to cover him and the Dolphins shaded coverage towards Watson. Kids earning respect from coordinators.

As great as Davante is, if we somehow could have kept him, I still don’t think this would have been a Super Bowl caliber team.  I think they likely could have won 2 or 3 more games by now which would have almost wrapped up a playoff spot.

I just wonder what other things would/could not have happened had they kept him.  Maybe an already shaky D would be even worse?  Maybe there’s no Watson or Doubs to give hope for the future?

They’ve missed the steady great play of Adames, but who knows what else could have been affected in a negative fashion had he somehow been able and willing to stay.

It's also a statistical fact that kids that live in warm climates don't become teenagers that spend hours in their rooms playing video games.

And parents of said kids would never be fat and enjoy fried food. I've never seen a fat person South of the Bagel/Biscuit  line.

Carr and Adams and Jacobs are a pretty decent trio.   Waller is a really good TE and Renfroe is a good #2 WR.  It didn’t help both those guys missed like half the season.

The Raiders problem this year is their defense is ranked in the bottom third and they are the anti Vikings in that 8 of their 9 losses were by 7 points or less.  4 of those 8 losses were by a FG or less.  So they aren’t good in close games nor are they clutch.

Barnes and Summers would be your starting LB's cuz Quay and De'vondre wouldn't be here.

McDaniel is as bad as Hackett. The guy is just a terrible head coach.

He is probably banking on getting Brady next year.

I thought Wisconsin kids spent hours in a bar drinking with their parents.

Not me. My dad used to feed me quarters so I could play pool and leave him alone while he drank.

It was the bowling game for me. I thought sprinkling that stuff on the "alley" to make that metal puck slide was an exact science.
