Nah, he'd be a coach in the Magic Johnson, Wayne Gretzky, Singletary, Maradonna, etc., mold: HOF players who struggle to teach the game because it came so easy for them, and who are often short-tempered when their players don't reach the lofty heights like they did because they don't realize just how gifted they were as it came easily to them. (Not that they didn't have to work for it, but that they had, physically and mentally, what others can only dream about having.)

Rodgers' biggest weakness was to freeze out younger players who didn't do exactly what he wanted (or expected) them to do immediately. He wouldn't be good at player development at all.

There are exceptions to the great player/lousy coach paradigm. Larry Bird was a very effective coach. He would have won a title with the Pacers had they not had to play the peak-Shaq Lakers in the finals (Shaq averaged 38 and 17 with 3 blocks) and the Pacers did take them to 6 games. His Pacers team in 1998 also pushed the Last Dance Bulls to 7 games in that playoff series.

Worst bunch of scorned ex GFs.  Night before your new man is about to take the stage and y’all are still bitching about the ex.

This thread is about the Ex and his new team....and I, for one, am certainly glad he's in the rear view mirror.

Check the Eagles week thread for tonight & this year's team....I'll meet you over there....big boy
