This was the alternative to a hold out because a hold out seems selfish by the player. If they don’t get a deal done he will hold out of camp and long enough of the season to get credit toward his contract. This was partly dialing up the heat and establishing a narrative before a holdout, but “sources” spun it out of control. GB will give him what he wants, these guys (GB FO) don’t have the nuts to dig their heels in and turn their megastar (and mega cash cow) into a mega heel (which is already happening).

What concessions?  According to reports, they have already offered him more than Mahomes 45MM per season.  Not sure how long, or how that may have been structured, but JFC does he want a piece of the franchise?

Kid’s got alligator blood.

But seriously, I’m sure some of the “reporting” is pure bullshit being put out there by his agent and his slappies.  I mean, he’s actually got to work for his cut, right?  You represent both Rodgers and Love!  What a fucking paradox.

So, in pure scumbag agent fashion, you should be forcing Rodgers out the door while propping up Love as the heir apparent and not posing for selfies at the Derby and leaking faulty info you greedy bloodsucking fuck.

I think Rodgers is a smart guy, by why he pays 5% to some leech like David Dunn to get all nasty is ridiculous.  My 13 can cook up stories on Insty like nobodies bidness for a lot less money brah.

I'm tired of all of this. I don't care if Murphy is fired. I don't care if Gutey is fired. I don't care if Rodgers is traded.   But I do care that Rodgers is a liar straight up.  He says he won't play for the Packers any more. Yet he says he loves the fans, loves Green Bay and Wisconsin.  Well get a clue Aaron, the fans are the Packers.  Everyone one of us who own stock are the Packers.  You can't hate one and love the rest.   It's time you shit or get off the pot.   Cleaning house in the front office won't cure the liar Rodgers has become.  This fucking drama will go on for years no matter who is in charge.  Bert thought he was the team and now Aaron thinks he is too. Guess what boys, the Packers were around and won numerous championships before both of you came along and they will win numerous championships once you are a distant memory.

Not that anyone is asking but

Come June 1 I trade Rodgers to the highest bidder that gives him the worst chance to win.  I shit can Murphy and send his slappy Russ Ball packing.  Gute gets demoted to head of scouting or some bullshit title to appease him.

Reach out to Schneider and literally tell him the franchise is his to get him to be team President.  He’s more than competent to fill out the power structure.

Done.

That’s the thing ammo. In this part of the world we don’t give two shits if you screw up or make bad personal decisions just own it and be a man about it.

It literally makes me nauseous to hear Brent weigh in on this situation given all his nonsensical drama filled bullshit.  I mean, you had the fans in the palm of your hands until you pulled your fake ass “aw shucks” bullshit.  Fuck you Brent.  Go ride your tractor in MS.

As for Rodgers, he’s a more sophisticated Brent.  But he’s a complete bitch.  At least Brent spoke his mind, warts and all.  Aaron hides behind all the esoteric California bullshit.  You mean that video of you and Bak heading out with a case of Miller Lite after practice?  JFC dude cmon now.

Just be upfront and straight with people.  Fuck your chickenshit agents like Bus Cook and David Dunn.  Own your destiny.  Own your comments! Be real.  That’s all we want.  Not this sneaky ass 3rd party passive bullshit.

Don't recall any report like that.

I read a couple of reports today that he was offered as much as PM but again, not sure how many years or if guaranteed. All that was stated was the team offered to make him the highest paid QB (annually) and he turned it down.  “It’s not about the money” or some bullshit.  If true?  I’d let him rot in hell.  In the NFL all the players care about is money.  Then just go away 12.

Yeah, when I think of highly-driven, successful NFL QBs I'd say humility is probably their #1 feature.

Come to think of it, humility is probably was most separates AR from TB.

It is either humility or something else I just can't put my FINGER on.

What we fans believe are the Packers is entirely different from what the NFL believes and hence the hacks in the FO.

If that's the baseline of lying then every single sports press conference is a lie, and they usually are.

I'd have zero issue with that but Dumb Gunt needs to be gone as well.  Although in hashing this out even more it is beyond a shadow of a doubt Murphy's continued dumbfuckery that's led us here.

Before any of Rodgers pettiness something had to get him here and it was shit like "don't be the problem".  The more I think about Murphy badly wanting Fitzgerald as HC just cemented the idiot "ol' ball coach" schtick.

The fuck never should've been involved in football decisions in the first place.

Rodgers needs to come out and actually speak for himself.  Or is that above him?  You want to set the record straight, well, have at it.  Not some stupid ass rambling nonsense on McAfee kiss ass show.

I expect FO types to be completely full of shit.  But Rodgers actually looks and sounds worse and he’s paying his agent to push this bullshit?

He would get over instantly if he dumped his self serving agent and just talked in real time like a normal person.  You want to rebuild or fix the issue?  That would be a good start.

If canning Gute keeps Rodgers I won’t lose any sleep about it.  But David Dunn is a piece of shit and you know what Rodgers you don’t need him.  If you think you do, well, you aren’t as smart as you tell everyone you are.

You are either onto something or on something

I mean. what the fuck Rodgers.  Your agent represents your replacement.  Does that sound normal?  JFC.  Keep posting selfies at the Derby because you know he’s got your back.  WTF.

That’s some Gute and Murphy type dysfunction junction

Ruh roh, I wonder if the folks clamoring to move on from ARod and for the Love era to begin are aware that Jordan is represented by agent David Dunn?

But it's only about AR and Gute and Murphy. It's light years away from Favre and won't have any effect on the locker room...just ask Raven Greene.

Raven Greene is your benchmark?

Hank the “don’t be the problem” might be the most offensive, backhanded, bullshit comment in the history of the franchise.

What the fuck

Go build a snow hill in Nova Scotia you fucking moron.  And this guy is team President?

Hi Aaron!

TRAITOR!

To me, one way to resolve this is to give Murphy a choice.  You can either step down, without recourse, or you can keep your job.  If you keep your job,  you need to allow every fan and shareholder to give you a swift kick to the nuts.  If you can survive that, congrats.  If not? GTFO

Keep your Feyda comments to yourself

That's the thing that sticks in my craw.  You can justifiably bash Rodgers reactions all you want but what got us here?

Seriously, you draw a time line of either Murphy's complete fucking apathy or his new tough guy bullshit and tell me any pros he's contributed outweigh the cons.

Then you have your cap monkey who wants to throw his hat into the GM ring and it gets 100 times worse.  Seriously, I'd really like to know what got Gunt hired.  Good yes man from within the organization?  Lot's of choices including guys like McKenzie, Highsmith, etc. outside of guy we didn't hear shit about previously.

At the time, you chocked up the exodus of the remaining Wolf/TT camp to butthurt over the hiring but it sure seems a lot clearer now.  BTW, that Browns team sure is starting to look good.

Yes GD, I'm a Browns fan now.  I'm going to bang some whores while I'm at it.

I'll definitely say this much.  It's more about anti-FO than it is pro whichever player/Super Bowl for me at this point.  Those shitheels need to exit because this organization is going to head south in a hurry once they don't have a HOF QB covering up their impotence.

If Murphy actually said that. No one knows if he actually did. Actually none of the personal vendetta shit, ego massaging, any of it has ever been confirmed by a first person source, all anonymous sources.

GB is going to have to choose Rodgers or Love. Choosing Rodgers means extension and guarantees. Choosing Love means trading Rodgers. There are only two options. Nuclear is letting Rodgers sit until he has to report and then figuring it out, that’s not really a path anyone wants to go down though.

Here’s the thing

Harlan made it all happen, but Wolf was the muscle.  Holmgren was the rocket scientist.  It all just worked. TT came later, but he wasn’t Wolf.  MM sure as fuck wasn’t Holmgren.  But they had Favre and then Rodgers.  You can make up a lot of ground with HOF QBs.

I like MLF.  I sort of like Gute as a scout guy just not in his current role.  Murphy is a piece of shit.  Russ Ball?  He’s a turd.

More and more I’m starting to hate the NFL because it’s like the NYSE - burn everyone and max out your own utility.  Dog eat dog to the extreme.  Fuck that.

The NBA is my favorite sport because the players have power to keep these greedy owner fucks in order.  Yet they all benefit financially.

Here's a positive spin on Henry's favorite QB.

That's not a positive spin on Love, it's a positive (and true) spin on his ability to start without getting piss pounded.

Surround him with the 957 olinemen you draft and let Jones and Adams do the heavy lifting.

But make sure Gunt (sorry, Murphy) keeps ignoring massive holes in the defense and that should cement a championship.

I'm willing to go down that path. Let a major QB go down for the season in training camp and the Packers could come out better than dealing Rodgers on June 1.

It's not abut the money. It's not about Jordan Love. It's not about Jake Kumerow. It's not about Jordy Nelson. It's not about Alex Van Pelt. It's not about MM. It's not about Gute. It's not about MLF. It's about that vague itch that Packers' brass can't seem to scratch and will never be able to.

If people like Bert are in his ear, is he really weighing this situation with any type of realistic objectivity? If consensus on this board is Murphy and the lot should rightfully be seen the door after all this, is it also worth this superstar qb burning the entire thing to the ground?

This is how Murphy and Ball skate by.  Blame Gute.  He’s not above blame for damn sure.  But those two fucks?  Worthless.

There’s a place for Gute.  He’s just not equipped to be GM.  The guy is a 40 year old TT.  I’d bury him as head of college scouting and feed him mushrooms and honestly he’d probably be fine with it,
