It's an example of the limits of analytics.  Did anyone watching the game think they had a 89% chance of winning at that point.

If they reran analytics by accounting for how poorly our special teams had been all year it would have been more accurate.

My apologies for being harsh on Gary in 2020. He's very good and seems to get better every day.

Do you feel better now ?   I have done the same thing in the past. I am not perfect but I am pretty darn close like all Packer Nation.

It's Jefferson but yeah....

Go back and read first 3 pages of this thread.

Amazing that that clown show of a movie produced so many big time dramatic actors, including Forrest Whittaker. Hell, Spicoli and Jefferson each have an Oscar.

What are the chances the Packers DO NOT extend Gary during the 2023 season?

If the do not, do they pick up his 5th year option next offseason?

Recent returnees from ACL injuries have included Tonyan, Bakh, and Jenkins.

Tonyan lost whatever athleticism he possessed and turned out to be a bad re-sign last offseason.

Bakh missed virtually all of 2021 and took a long time to somewhat get back up to speed in 2022. The jury remains out on his return to form.

Jenkins was very rusty (and probably playing out of position at T) to begin 2022, but the team was happy enough with play after he returned to LG to give him a big new deal.

Edge rushers like Gary rely heavily upon their burst. Will he get it back?

Might be worth considering the plight of another ballyhooed young pass rusher out of the Big Ten who took the NFL by storm only to struggle upon his return from ACL surgery.

I’m sure whatever the decision is, if it’s not the right one, you’ll drone on incessantly about the FRONT OFFICE’s poor decisions. After all, it’s what you do.

Tonyan claims he was always playing for the Bears, Bahk not really in that great of shape to begin with, Jenkins played out of position. Comparing ACL recoveries is as much a crapshoot as the draft.

He had a couple hits on the QB yesterday that looked like old LT highlights where he sort of pops up on the QB's side and just swallows him whole.

The last one knocked the ball loose on the saints' last possession and would have ended the game if Winston didn't get lucky with the ball bouncing right back to him.

So you're saying the cocaine sped up Gary's recovery?

No, I think it was his hard work and dedication to the recovery plan.

It's fun to go back and read how many hated Gute picking Gary. Underachiever, lack of consistent motor, Wonderlic of only 9, etc. And here we are today encouraging Gute to extend him now. He'll get his payday, and he's earned it. It's amazing how he tips the field on so few snaps. Hopefully, he'll be able to go for a full game soon.
