Such a first-round talant for the Vikings: Bradbury played only 14 pass-blocking snaps against the Falcons.  If you include plays nullified by penalty, Bradbury allowed two hurries and three additional “losses,” and ended up with a 0.0 pass-blocking grade from PFF, only the 10th center to get 0.0 in pass protection for a single game. Against GB, his pass-blocking grade was 16.3. His overall grade is below 36.

So how did the Vikings get 170 yards running against Atlanta, and more than 150 v Green Bay? Bradbury had to have done something right?

It was Bradbury's holding technique that allowed Cousins to remain standing. Bradbury pushes his hand under the lower part of the shoulder pads, near the abdomen, and then pulls the defender down on top of him by pulling the defenders pads as Bradbury falls to the ground. It looks like the defender tackled Bradbury, without using his hands.

I was thinking Clark had kind of disappeared this year, but considering his number of snaps, his injuries, and what he is being asked to do (occupy blockers and keep Martinez clean), he's doing pretty darn well.  Ben Fennell has a couple clips of Martinez being totally unblocked and completely missing tackles on the RB.  Just awful.

Pettine will need to make adjustments going forward.  The current trajectory of the Packers defense is downward.

KC is worn out and needs some rest. Almost to the point of burnout.
He's played an inordinate number of snaps both last year and this one.

Which makes me think Gute will go after a D Lineman or NT in the draft or in FA.

Curious how Gute could watch Lowry, Lancaster, and Montravious  get pushed around and not make a move before the deadline.

It's not so much that Martinez needs to be replaced as a starter than it is to have him rotated out on a regular basis.
When he's been chasing runners and receivers all day, he's gassed by the mid 3rd qtr. And his play shows it.

Good point. Maybe same thing happening to him that's happening to Clark--gassed and vulnerable.

Or watch our WR's not get open and think the same.

If he can’t play >90% of snaps effectively then he needs to be replaced as the starter. Quality ILBs don’t come off the field often. He’s not only struggling with with making tackles when clean, it seemed like Rivers alluded to the fact that there aren’t many pre-snap adjustments going on. That’s a reflection of the on-field signal caller. Blake is a competent player, but he needs to be a backup or at most play second fiddle to a quality ILB. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) it looks like we’re back to picking in the 20’s, so all of the Kuechly quality guys are gobbled up.

Give Summers snaps. I know he's a rookie. Can't be worse than Martinez. Can't be.

Lots of guys are worse than Blake. Summers could be one of them.

OR might not be. Who knows?

I'm gonna say when he shows what he needs to show in practice he will get playing time. It's not like the other ILB position is some tough obstacle to surpass. He's probably a mess in practice.
