He started strong.  Had a near mythical TC, promising pre-season and seems to have been tailing off more and more as the season went on.  Tired leg/rookie wall?  How many times a game did AL punt?

But I remember watching that first GB/CHI game and noticed the Bears' kicker was really booming them.  But ours kind of wasn't.

What kills me is that Seattle picked a Punter in the same round.... and he's the best in the league.  John Schneider.... man does the Packers' organization ever miss that guy.

To be fair, he was off the board when they picked Opie. Too early to call it a bad pick but he's certainly been underwhelming so far.

It's all got to be in the kid's head.  He was operating at near mythical levels in camp.  He has all the ability and a thunderbolt for a leg.  Got to get his head right and maybe get a decent coach.

Scott's a good example of why it's never wise to judge a rookie too quickly. I was deeply skeptical of the pick and remained so after his first season. Certainly does appear now like Gutey got this one right when he pegged him as a potential game-changer.

It's early but JK is doing better than Dickson in every way you can measure punting this year. And Dickson has had one of his punts housed.

First few pages of this thread are a real treat to read. Just another reminder that at the end of the day, we internet experts don’t know shit about the draft.

Or talent evaluation.

Looks like I'm the only one who likes the pick.  He's got a cannon leg and is an instant starter.  Any OL drafted in this spot isn't starting any time soon and would be a project anyway.  Their chance at an impact OL this year was a couple rounds ago and they didn't take one.

I won't go as far as saying I like the pick... but I understand it.  A good punter can flip the field and/or pin a powerful offense deep in their own zone.

This kid has a big leg and if he can produce, he'll impact Packer games in a good way for the next decade.

It's like I'm Nostradumdum's cousin.

A waste. We need OL

That's a dumb reaction.

Yeah.

Moving up your “points “ by liking every post is beyond dumb. It’s (charitably speaking) sad, weird and bizarre.

But then you said the Redskins might beat the Bears last night.

I’m 100%  on never having expressed an opinion on anything other than YA Tittle is bizarre.

Speaking of bots, YA is a participation ribbon bot.  He wants everyone to feel good about themselves.  Except you.

When's the wedding?

It's not completely unrealistic that Opie would SIGNIFICANTLY improve with an actual coach.  See defense.

Me and Pakrz are having a threesome with his cousin Nostradumdum.
