I better not see every  *************  in this thread in the game thread later today or I'll seriously question your dedication to your beliefs.  Or at least your commitment to reading Breitbart on a regular basis.

Wild Bill Proxmire wouldn't approve.

Why? What the f are you going to do? Stop your  little threats,  ************* . No one should fuc*ing care about what you want to see. You're the Michael Rappaport of x4- you're big and loud and talk tough... but really you're a  ************* with a superiority complex and no one should listen to you

Says the guy who just listened to me because he's an easy mark.

I love these kind of responses.

Hey, I'm merely pointing out the group choade lack of principle.

One of the reasons that our country is so heavily divided today is that a large segment of the population on each side of an argument is so heavily entrenched, they absolutely refuse to listen to the other side, give their position any credence, and actually converse on the issues.  Rather, the exchange consists of a series of sarcastic remarks, personal attacks, and dismissive responses.

Unfortunately, I see many examples of this on x4.

We're better than that.

You're right to an extent, but the issues being argued concerning the anthem/Kaepernick/protests aren't ones that lend themselves to finding common ground. This isn't Republican/Democrat issues, it's not raising taxes vs. cutting spending, truly it's about whether or not you believe Kaepernick/current players have the right to protest. So many seem to be using this patriotism excuse to justify their belief that Kaepernick/current players shouldn't be protesting the flag. There's no middle ground on that, you either believe peaceful protesting (which they are doing) is okay all the time (because it is one of our rights) or none of the time. There's nothing more American than exercising the rights afforded to you, especially if the goal of your protest is meant to shine a light on issues other Americans are dealing with. There's no other side of that issue, if anyone believes there some Americans should not be allowed to exercise their rights (like some have talked about professional athletes should shut up or be fired) then those people don't believe in America, our Constitution, or freedom. The concept that some Americans don't deserve to protest because they're wealthy or because they're athletes is more disrespectful to what our troops fought and died for than anything Colin Kaepernick has ever done. I know you haven't put any of this out Lobo, but the idea that people on both sides of this issue should listen to the other is wrong. There is a right side and a wrong side.

In a more broad sense, yes you are correct that we have a serious issue in this country of people digging in and not giving any respect to another's viewpoint. Nobody likes to be wrong and the internet and 24/7 media has allowed us to never be wrong in our own minds. You can back up your viewpoint however you want, there can be evidence that backs up your viewpoint instantly. We used to rely on respected journalists to give us news, now any old 19 year old blogger with an strong opinion can contribute to major news. It's hard to sift through the fake news/propaganda and fine reality and even then it's hard for some to accept reality because it means they might be wrong.
