Cousins is locked in 2024 and 2025. And even if they get rid of him for 2026, he's still going to have a big cap hit.
I believe his dead cap in '26 is $25mm. So, essentially a 2 yr deal in ATL.
Honestly.....I cannot believe ATL didn't match Kyle Pitts with Brock Bowers. Friggin nightmare 😱to defend.
That's what I expect out of Kraft & Musgrave.
my good friend teaches in Wittenberg, WI, home of Nueske's smoked pig products (drool), for the last few years, has been a substitute before but full time since covid
he sent me this today in one of our football discussions:
"A kid in art class today made a blue and yellow poster with the word “Vinkigs” and I told him to leave it because it was perfect."
indeed
This thread should never make it to page 2, as the queens perpetually suck, big time.

3 NFL teams. Loved by none. Poor guy. Not literally, he's probably the richest poor guy you will ever find.
He certainly is the richest mediocre QB you'll ever find.
Haha. Now that he's no longer a Viking I can admit he's a good QB. Definitely better than mediocre. But he's the new Philip Rivers. Good looking stats most of the time but it doesn't translate to success.
If he makes a good recovery and plays 4 more years he'll be in that same club with Rivers. HOF numbers but a very "meh" career as far as January and later are concerned.
A more than mediocre QB that hasn't won shit. Not a good leader either.

Even I could get it closer to the area code than that - at that distance. They have place kickers that miss wide left. if his passes miss wide right sounds like he will fit right in.
The receiver was clearly out of position.

Is there a mirror involved? Everyone knows he can’t throw to his left. Now his right???

Tonyan signs with the queens (means he will have been on all 4 NFC North teams). Guessing Hockensucks wont be ready to start the season after his late acl tear last year.

A real positive in this is that Preston Smith is probably athletic enough in open space to cover Tonyan if the new DC wants to bring back one of Barry's go-to schemes.

I think teammates like Cousins. He works hard, isn't a prima donna, and seems to be a good teammate. It's just that he's the king of the check down when you need to lift your team by making a play downfield.
Interesting thought question - if Kirk Cousins had been the Packers QB in the playoffs in 2020 and 2021, would the Packers have won more playoff games then they did with Rodgers? Their regular season record wouldn't have been as good, but Cousins would probably actually have thrown to the guys that are open rather than lock onto D. Adams like happened in almost every late-career Rodgers playoff game.

Don't think so
Cousins locks onto Jefferson except when he was locking onto Hockenson...
5 yards short of the 1st down marker.
Kirk just isn't very bright and that's what holds him back.
Under pressure, too often he folds.
Sometimes its the pressure of prime time TV that gets him and sometimes its the pressure of the down/distance. Kirk has been in the league 12 years and has won exactly 1 playoff game, same as 1st year starter Jordan Love
Given that data, I can't support your supposition.
Packers may not have even made the playoffs with Cousins as starting QB in 2020 and 2021. Your theory holds no water.
Vinny's didn't either.
