So last night after my sons baseball game. A black kid from the opposing team walked up to a white kid from my sons team that plays catcher.
The black kid stole 2nd and 3rd in the 7th inning and scored the winning run. Their conversation in front of me:
"I knew you could run fast"
"I knew you couldnt throw me out whitey"
They laughed, hugged, and said see you Saturday (Championship game). Genuine friends.
They were making fun of me. Of us. They think racism is a ****ing joke propegated by dumb****s. And thats something that decades of stupidity ain't stopping. These kids get things. And they kind of dig everyone.
Cool story.

We outgrow stupid things. Just takes a few generations for it to die off and the entrenched, unseen aspects of it to burn away. All the violent rhetoric and reactionary garbage is the snake slowly dying. Still dangerous but dying nonetheless.

little history. Tavis and I crossed paths back in 2007. Became great friends almost immediately. Neighbors. We both loved this flick.
I always knew my family missed CA but I developed a wicked love for WI from day 1. Time to time Tavis would wonder out loud If the family would eventually win out.
"I'll never leave WI brother" was always my go to.
Family won. Family first. But my God do I miss Wisconsin.

Getting low on the big board.
Vikings made sure to let everyone know they are one of the first teams to open camp this year.
Years from now the players will look back and wonder why they had to suck a few weeks longer than past Viking teams. Then someone will remind them that comes with being a Viking.
I think they may not be as good as people think he thinks they are either.
