This why Vikings and their fans suck:

Wait and see how Karen Rodgers handles his exit before you start chirping. Rodgers is a cry baby, hence blaming his calf injury on the turf in Tampa. Also every time Karen gets hit, he looks at the refs for flags or complains. Favre is a tough guy, old school, something Karen is not. Karen won’t even talk to the offensive lineman that protect him, that’s his ego. I could see Everson Griffen or Barr ending Karen’s season with 1 blind side blitz this year!! Wooooooooooo!!

Vikings' season already up in smoke...

"A spokesperson for Mortenson Construction says workers were welding metal decks around 11:15 a.m. when sparks from the work fell onto nearby insulation material, which caught fire.

"The workers were able to quickly extinguish the fire, but smoke was visible from the site."

Nice pic of the smoky sand crawler here....

NASA sent 4 Vikings to Mars 40 years ago.

Viking 1 Oribter - Shut down after depletion of attitude control fuel.

Viking 1 Lander - Human error during software update caused the lander's antenna to go down, terminating communication.

Viking 2 Orbiter - Shut down after fuel leak in propulsion system.

Viking 2 Lander - Battery failure.

If you're scoring at home, that's 0-4. Coincidence?

And that for a trip that is a fraction of the distance it will take to get to Pluto.  The only conclusion I can come up with is that we will be able to see at Pluto what we couldn't see at Mars because of technology - assuming that the Vikings actually find the right planet.

Gotta sell tickets to Birdstrike Centralβ„’.

@RapSheet: The #Vikings just an announced a restructured contract for Adrian Peterson.

@CharlesRobinson: Source says that #Vikings and Peterson agreed to more guaranteed money, as expected.

@RapSheet: Adrian Peterson was due base salaries of $12.75M, $14.75M, & $16.75M. This restructure is expected to bring those down, add more guarantees.

@CharlesRobinson: #Vikings agreed to give Peterson additional guaranteed money in 2015 and 2016, as expected. I'm certain he'll still be unprotected in 2017 [when he is 33].

@CharlesRobinson: #Vikings did restructure as a commitment to both Adrian Peterson and development of Teddy Bridgewater. They believe this is a playoff team.

@CharlesRobinson: #Vikings add two years of guaranteed money to what was a totally team-slanted contract of a 30-year old running back. Pretty amazing.

@adbrandt: Thus Peterson may end up better off contractually than where he pre-suspension. And still has pending case v NFL for lost salary in Dec.

The vikes were 6-6 in the conference and 1-5 in their own division.
They didn't beat a single team with a winning record and finished out the year 1-2, with the only win coming against an anemic bears squad that had already left the building.

They face the AFC west and NFC west - long trips for a team that traditionally struggles on the road... including a 2-6 record in 2014.

the 2014 vikes signature road win ?

vs the 2-14 bucs they managed to win. in overtime.
