FOX 2 in Detroit is reporting that Suh was ticketed in Lathrup Village, Michigan, on November 15 for failure to use due care and caution. That is at least Suh’s fourth traffic incident within the past year: A month earlier Suh and another driver both said they were sideswiped by each other. In March, Suh was ticketed for driving 91 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone. A year ago, while Suh was serving his suspension for his infamous Thanksgiving stomp of Packers offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith, he was ticketed for an accident in which he drove into a tree in Portland, Oregon.
If a 2-game suspension didn't teach this piece of dung to mend his ways, why does anyone in his right mind think a fine will? He makes $750,000 a game, if I read right... last year a two game check loss amounts to $1.5 million. That didn't stop him... and the NFL thinks ...what, a $20,000 fine will? This will make at least the 6th time in his short NFL career that Suh has been disciplined for on-field conduct. That doesn't take into account all the OFF-field transgressions over that same period of time.

I guess they want to see if he'll actually kill somebody. They are sure giving him the opportunity.
If I'm not mistaken, Suh had his salary for this year converted to a bonus so he is actually playing for league minimum for someone with his years of service - works out to $380k or so... which means a game check for him this season is approx $23k.

Andrew Brandt speculated yesterday that Suh will get a hefty fine, but who expects that will make a difference with this POS?

man, if I was an often fined or suspended NFL defensive player I'd try to do that every year!
see, the punk leader sees nothing wrong with the actions of one of his punks. nothing will change over there until the schwartz is removed from the equation.
well, that's what schwantzy says to the press at least...

per Michael David Smith at PFT:
quote:
Lions coach Jim Schwartz said he won’t talk to defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh about kicking Texans quarterback Matt Schaub in the groin on Thanksgiving. That’s because Schwartz is so sure Suh didn’t mean to do it that he doesn’t even think there’d be anything to talk about.

Asked on 97.1 FM in Detroit if he addressed the incident with Suh, Schwartz said, “There’s nothing to address.”

How can you expect Schwartz to discipline a guy when the coach can't control his temper and costs his team a TD? Schwartz and Suh are twins: hot-tempered, undisciplined, bullies, and immature. I wonder what old guys from the Lions would think of this new team? Guys like Dick LeBeau, Alex Karras (yes, I know), Barry Sanders, etc., played hard and sometimes weren't angels, but they weren't like the current brand of jerks.
Until I see it, I'm not passing judgement. I've never seen an NFL player specifically celebrate an injury to another player. But I have seen a player celebrate a great play where another player happened to be hurt in the process. Very different scenario. Again, until I see it, I'm not passing judgement.

Honestly, a guy like that won't win in the long run. He will draw negative things to himself. He won't understand why, but it will happen in one form or another.

Kind of like Sapp. Recently bankrupt. And didn't he lose his broadcasting job? POS all the way.

From ESPN:

Suh had cleared out of the locker room by the time reporters were allowed in after the game. Caldwell said he didn't think it was an intentional act.

Caldwell said the same thing last week re: Riola.

Hey Jim, STFU.

As I said last week, Caldwell is as big of a douche as Schwartz.  The 1st foot may have been an accident, the 2nd was on purpose. And Caldwell knows that too.  He should be suspended but does the NFL have the guts to do it for a playoff game or would they take it into next season?  At any rate Sue may have cost himself millions of $$$$. Many teams will wonder if he is worth the risk of paying big $$$ if he is not on the field.

Hey Jim, STFU.

Caldwell is just happy when he can find his pants.

Suh deserves more than a one game suspension. This wasn't a lineman he was stomping on (not that that would be OK). It was one of the leagues marquee players. What if he had broken Aaron's ankle by that stunt? You know that's what he was trying to do. Fans pay a lot of money to see people like Rodgers play. They don't like it when their stars are not able to play, but an injury to one of them due to a blatant cheap shot would not bode well for the NFL.

Suh has had multiple dirty plays. I say that he needs an 8 game suspension.
