Even without all the dirty player baggage, I don't think Suh is worth that kind of money. He can show flashes of brilliance, but then become virtually invisible for large stretches as well. Inconsistent performance like that doesn't warrant a huge mega contract, IMO.

NFL got this one right. You DO NOT try to injure the league's most valuable player. That's not good for business.

In a letter to Suh explaining the punishment, NFL vice president of football operations Merton Hanks wrote: "You did not respond in the manner of someone who had lost his balance and accidentally contacted another player who was lying on the ground. This illegal contact, specifically the second step and push off with your left foot, clearly could have been avoided."

I don't know what kind of punishment is really appropriate at this point. All the fines and suspensions up until now have not deterred his cheap shot ways in the slightest.

There's a screw loose with Mr. Suh, and it's exposed when he's on the field, and things aren't going his way. I'd like to see a suspension that goes into the beginning of the 2015 season...which would in all likelihood cost him a lot of money in free agency. Maybe that would get the message through to him that his chicken-**** behavior won't be tolerated anymore.

Suspending Suh for the likely remainder of Detroit's season and helping the Cowboys all in one tidy move. Only down side.

Here's hoping Detoilet gets lucky  next week.

I'd prefer to have Sue play against Dallas for selfish reasons but it is what it is....

That said, I don't get the one game suspension.  If the league believes Suh's actions were intentional, a one game suspension makes little sense when you consider his past.  Progressive discipline should be implemented with this ass clown.

I totally agree about progressive discipline.  But what if they suspended him for 3-4 games, the NFLPA would be going nuts.  But the real question is, where does the NFLPA stand on things like this, when one member could affect another member's health?  They support both players, but the actions/results of "justice" are completely opposite.

I haven't read every post - this time.  But I think Detroit should be made to do without Suh for the rest of the playoffs - whether they go all the way to the SB or it just means one game.  That would send the message that the league would be willing to expand the suspension with repeated occurrences.

That said; How about if GB signs Suh in the off season?  Should solve a few issues.  IF GB wins SB Suh may wish to give his home town discount to GB since his chance to get a ring (assuming that is important to him) would go up.  Overall he has improved this season - if you can call it that.  In GB he might behave like Woodson did.

Frosty always said Suh was a dirty player and should be banned from the NFL.  Sunday was not his first time.  I think they should suspend him for the rest of the season.  Maybe (I doubt it) he will learn a lesson.  Do we have to wait for him to really injure a player before Goodell acts?

I think Podiatrist Bob will have my back on this.  Once a person has dip****itis u cannot cure dip****itis and you damn sure do not want to introduce dip****itis on a team where it does not exist

Woodson wasn't a malcontent asshole in OAK. The only concern with him before signing was injury history with turf toe, a shoulder, and then he broke his leg. The other issue was would he adapt to such a small city after coming from Oakland.

But I don't remember any incidents in OAK where his behavior would be any concern.

Suh is a cancer who is time bomb waiting until his next fu** up. I get his talent and I get his run stop ability. But he doesn't give a damn about anyone but himself. GB won't change that and I would want him nowhere near this team unless it's to take yet another ass kicking in GB.

I could also easily see him going into cruise control after getting $$ much like Hayneworth did at WAS.

Heard a Suh signing being speculated about on DC sports talk radio today.

I wouldn't typically use such technical terms, but yes, that pretty much covers it.  My only hope is that dip****itis cannot be passed along through cleats.

Profootball Weekly was skeptical that Suh would get suspended, so now they are hoping for it to be overturned because it aligns with their original stance.  There is an appeals process so it could be overturned, but saying "it sounds like it might get overturned" implies inside knowledge, which I doubt there is.

Because his past infractions aren't taken into consideration the guy hearing the appeal may feel his punishment is to harsh. Like stated above, thats what the round heads at PFT are saying. Hope they are wrong
Was Suh this big of a douche at Nebraska? I remember thinking he'd be a beast in the league and thinking whoever got him would be lucky, not knowing his history and future doucheness. To an extent he has been a force. It's a shame he's also been such a dirty genital wart.

Regardless, I'm surprised that the NFL did what needed to be done.  I doubt Suh cares, and has been pointed out, he's losing less money that its a playoff game share and not a regular season check.

The only play I can think of is that unnecessary block on Clifton.  Brutal block that was so far from the ball.

Agree that Suh and Snyder is a match made in h***. When things aren't going Suh's way, he acts like an evil child and tries to stomp/hurt to get his way. All in all, I think Suh will actually be out of the NFL not long after he signs his next contract. He'll implode/explode/be Haynesworth II.
