Just saw the tweet from Lang. Looks like Lang knows AR is back there and holds Suh's jersey to keep track of him. Too bad he didn't yank it.
I just had this vision of Lang jerseying Suh. That would've been heaven.
He'll implode/explode/be Haynesworth II.
Not sure why you compare him to Haynesworth. Both had their own stomping incidents and play DT, but that's about all they have in common. Haynesworth was notoriously lazy, where his 2 career years came in contract years (was franchise tagged once) when he was effectively playing for a pay day. For all the criticism of Suh and his dirty on-field play, he's never been considered lazy. He plays hard every time he's out there and that's his downfall, that he can't stop playing hard (and dirty) even when the whistle blows. Suh plays around 80% of the snaps which is very high for a DT and I can't remember any time where he's been criticized for taking plays off. That's in direct contrast to Haynesworth's reputation.
I hate that it sounds like I'm defending Suh, but his FA bust potential is no where near Haynesworth. Only way Suh is a bust is via suspension for his dirty play, which is not what caused Haynesworth to be a bust. If Suh stopped the dirty, after the whistle stuff, I can't think of any real flaws in his on-field performance.
the comparison stands that whatever team gives him a big contract will regret the hell out of it
Yup, that's what I was getting at, KB. Haynesworth was a huge bust in FA; I think Suh will be about the same. Maybe he'll have one good year, but that's about it.

Ndamukong Suh won his appeal; now allowed to play vs. Dallas
Guess the NFL did get it wrong. CRAZY
Sounds like he was fined $70K, that's nothing for him. He makes $20M this year.
I'm actually happy about the news. Still expect Dallas to win because the Lions are the Lions, but with Suh back it gives them another ever so slightly increased chance of somehow pulling off the upset
Give me Arizona with a 3rd string QB or the Panthers in Rd2

Idiots. Suh just feels more emboldened now to engage in that crap. It's like getting an answer from one parent he doesn't like and getting his way when asking the other parents. He's sticking his tongue out at the league as he licks his lollipop.
NFL FU strikes again!
Making it tougher on the Cowboys I guess
New from JS: Lions' Ndamukong Suh has suspension reduced to $70,000 fine http://t.co/CIXPVUZ0yz #packers

Romo has a very sore back, what's the betting line on suh accidentally stepping on it ?
Suh will be out of the division anyway next year. Hope he takes his stomping talents to the AFC
Suh will have a isolated cam on him at all times....on field and off. Should be interesting.
I wish I could say I'm surprised by this outcome but I'm not. NFL FU Indeed.
I'm not surprised either, what I am surprised about, is the fine. 70K isn't **** to him, his game checks are $780K every week.

They didn't learn sh1t from the Ray Rice incident , did they?
NFL's discipline committee really has no idea what they are doing. There is no rhyme or reason to the punishments they hand out
It's like they spin a wheel or pull stuff out of a hat to determine things for each player.
If it had been a regular season game the suspension would have been upheld. The fine should have been much higher, like $250,000.
This stinks......70,000??? that's nothing.....and THEY WANTED HIM TO PLAY SUNDAY. I'm so mad, so pissed off, so upset. Ugh....... Aaron will not be 100% for his game but the fat arse will be playing. This is just nuts.....it stinks, and I'm so pissed off.
Lol per the NFL's policy, Suh's stomp on Rodgers was considered a "first time offense" thus the fine
first time offense for a guy who has been fined countless times for player safety violations. Funny stuff
Chill
I really wonder what would've happened if AR was lost for the season, due to a broken leg/ankle? No intent?
The thing that is really weird about this, is they are saying "you did something wrong" since he is being fined. It's just not "wrong enough" to warrant a suspension? Whatever!!!

He's been rehabilitated.

I bet you can count to 7.
So, I guess if he gouges someone's eye, it would be a first time offense, since he hasn't done that before?
It's important to vary your MO. It throws off the FBI.
after 32 completed games with no incidents, the record is wiped clean and you are considered a "first offender" again. Weak policy

FWIW, his game check this week is $22K, so he's actually losing $48K by being allowed to play.
Let's pass the hat
League shill Peter King wrote about this possibility this morning.
... I doubt the NFL will be exceedingly disappointed if Cottrell overturns the ruling. Why? Because the league has made its point about violent and capricious behavior, sending a message to Suh that they’re watching him very carefully. If a third party overturns the sanction, the NFL will at least know that it sent a message.
"It sent a message." Yeah right. Its all about the Benjamin's, seriously. PR and spin. So sick of this bull****.
What floors me is that the NFLPA is okay with it and the league allowing POS's like Donkey Kong, repeat offenders with non-football move assaults on their rap sheets, to keep getting away with this. I thought the union would give a flying **** about the wellbeing of the 99 percent of its members who don't indulge in this stuff.
No, what the league did is change a punishment into a win for Suh. He "won" his appeal. What should have been a negative for him is now a positive. They just rewarded Suh for his conduct. Nice.
Yeah, the NFL sent a message alright. Too bad it's not aimed at Suh and players like him.

This means that Detroit will beat Dallas and either AZ or CAR will be coming to Lambeau.
Silly response.

I guess I'm surprised that so many here are upset that Donkey Kong gets to play this week. IMHO Detroit has a real chance to beat Dallas in their house. I say get out there and stomp on some Cowgirls, Suh.
Suh will be taken care of on the field by an equally nasty offensive lineman.... give it time.
