In the world of the totally impossible I would love the Packers to play the Detailers in Lambeau for a trip to the big show.

A game of pancakes and cleats for that **** organization.

Ted Cottrells letter/response to Suh and his reasons for reducing the suspension.

"Although I accept that your feet may have been cold on a late December day in Green Bay, it is difficult for me to believe that you did not feel Aaron Rodgers’ leg under you as you stepped on him twice. While you may not have consciously intended to cause injury to the opposing player that you stepped on, I nonetheless believe that you could have avoided—and had the responsibility to avoid—making such dangerous contact with your opponent’s leg—twice. Your conduct was a clear violation of the Playing Rules and was outside the normal course of the game of football. It must be emphasized that illegal acts that jeopardize the safety of other players, as was certainly the case here, will not be tolerated in this League.”

“Several of your representatives, including personnel from the Lions, argued that the impact of your suspension would have a devastating effect on you, your teammates and coaches, as well as Lions fans,”

“I think you were sincere when you said that you respect the game, and have listened to the advice of your coaches, as well as that of Troy Vincent during his visit with you in the offseason. Based on your representations, I am willing to give you the benefit of doubt that you did not intend to injure your opponent. However, the seriousness of this offense, the potential for injury, and my conclusion that it was avoidable, demands substantial discipline. For those reasons, I am reducing your one game suspension without pay to a fine in the amount of $70,000.”

So. Ted thinks he did it. He thinks Suh knew what he was doing. Thinks it would be unfair to punish his teammates and fans. Clearly jeopardized the safety of another player. Reduces the suhspension anyways.

What a damn massive steaming pile of unmitigated bull**** this is. NFLFU. This reeks of prime time rating protection.

Sure, rodger, all concerned about player safety aren't you.

Let's have more and more rules and regulations every year and not enforce them if it gets in the way of NFLFU MONEY, right, rodger?

I think it was Bakthihari that was right there, actually hekped Aaron get up. All he had to do was roll into Sue from behind.  Sure, it would have been 15 yards and probably an ejection but it may have been worth it to get Sue out for rest of the season.  Afterall, that is what Sue tried to do the Aaron.

Green Bay would open as a 6 point favorite against Dallas. Might get above 7.5. Vegas has been onto Dallas all year. Dallas opens as a 7 point favorite against Detroit. Plenty of people would have swore that line would open at double digits.

Dumb. Thankfully Bak ( and most players) are more intelligent and have more class than this.

Sure would hate to see Bak suspended for sinking to Suh's level.

One day, Suh is going to wrap both arms around a QBs head. And he's going to twist that head with as much force as he possibly can. And some nasty **** is going to happen. The guy has no self control on a football field.

With 2 weeks he may not be 100%, but that doesn't seem to matter.

After the injury on Sunday he was more accurate. Everyone and their brother knew he would be going to Nelson and Cobb yet they kept catching passes. Not 1 target for Adams or Boykin.

Suh apparently entered the appeal with a clean slate and the way the process is set up that was probably the right decision. Difficult to argue that a player without Suh's history would have received a suspension.

How so? Not saying you're wrong but what comparatives are you using?

Agreed. He hasn't been 100% since N.O.

He has 2 weeks with Dr Munn caring for him......

Agree. As much as I/we don't like it, that is the rule. Until the rule is modified to include a players history of dirty play in the punishment process  then the rule is as it stands is just a bad joke.

I can imagine he knew exactly when that kicked in.

A mediocre head coach who makes sideline decisions that are sometimes nothing short of WTF ARE YOU DOING type of decisions.  An aging, turnover-prone QB who gags in big moments.  A tremendous running game and a fantastic offensive line.  A defense that has no real great players but that to this point in the season has played well.  A defense that will be exposed when it's put in a position to have to stop a great offense in the postseason.  A team that beats up on the bad teams on its schedule - particularly the teams in its division - but that hasn't proven much of anything at this point.
