From what I am reading Rodgers won't play this week. Obviously, being overly cautious.
And where are you reading this "breaking news"??
It is my opinion and I hope I am wrong. Sorry for the confusion.
Assuming there is a shot he can play in the playoffs...
I almost hope he doesn't play against the Bears. Where he matters is the playoffs. He they start him too soon, he may injure himself again and not be around for the playoffs. Which would likely mean a quick exit and likely a loss to the Bears. That is worse than zippo.
If Flynn gets them in, great. Rodgers can start in the playoffs. If not, so what. They go to work on the draft and being better next year. Team has a lot of holes to fill.
I'm still down with on the first series drilling McClellin in the nuts then what happens happens.
That worthless slob has scrounged up 4 sacks all year ( almost doubling his stellar rookie season) and dammit if one of those shelved the best QB in football for 2 months.
Yeah. I'm on board with Newhouse pulling a hockey goon and throwing foil right to Shea's general and two colonels. If Newhouse gets tossed so be it.
If Newhouse gets tossed.....
Net gain!
Okay let's settle this once and for all. Will Rodgers play this weekend?
Heads, he plays! Tails, he sits! And the toss ....and it's....HEADS!!!
It's now settled - he plays! Just call me Dr. E!
Next topic!
He will get paid.
Cam Cutler will be a C student for 12 consecutive years and tell every teacher his Dad became rich being average.

I don't trust the referee to get the coin flip right:
Ahhhhhhh. Let's all enjoy some Christmas cheer shall we?
I'm going with no... I don't think he'll play. Rodgers mentioned that his bone isn't healing slow, rather it's taking the normal time to heal due to lack of blood flow to the area, etc. Mayo says normal healing time for an adult is 6 to 16 weeks. Last week it was stated that Rodgers would be put at an "extraordinary risk" if he were to have played. My guess is that won't change in a one-week period.
My guess is no. If he had the scan and it all looked good, why not say on Tuesday that he was starting? Delaying it until Thursday makes me think that there is still something on the scan they want to take a closer look at. The only reason to delay an announcement to Thursday I can think of is that AR (and probably MM) wants more lobbying time.
This years defense will beat da Bears.
Difficult to listen to the Wilde interview and conclude anything other than AR expects to be cleared and play. Won't be long before we'll know for sure but I'd be a bit surprised at this point if he's not under center against the Bears.
I think he plays. I have no reason to believe that, but I just do.
You believe in Santa Claus, Don't you?
I think he might play but he might not but we'll know for sure one of these days, maybe.
seriously, 6 pages of this?
Any one know what time practice is scheduled for today?

Yes I do. What...there's no Santa?

I think it was rather more frivolous.
On the bright side, if Tony Romo hadn't injured his back, could you imagine how much time the brainless talking heads on the various cable sports channels would be spending talking about whether Rodgers would play?

Not sure but I think there is a MM presser at 1:15 LFT.

Probably less than some brainless typing heads spent here...
A Football Life - Vince Lombardi part 1 on NFLN was pretty cool.
Announcement is coming today, right?
I thought I read a poster here, say abt 1: oo pm cst
Is Rodgers out of ICU yet?

So you're saying those of us watching the Vatican chimney are going a bit overboard?
Refresh my memory, white smoke means the groundhog sees his shadow or is it black?
No way they delay the announcement 2 days to tell us know. They might as well pour diesel on Lambeau and light it up.
My guess is that they contact ESPN for a special one hour show like LeDumb James did when he went to the Heat.
"You are looking live....from the atrium at Lambeau Field....ESPN welcomes you to....The Decision on Aaron Rodgers...brought to you by Barbasol and Miller Beer."
Check your local listings for show times.

You make a good point there. Between that thought and DocBenni's insider info, things are looking more optimistic for Rodgers return.
