Re: Neil Peart, 1952-2020
I've got no problem admitting that I wept like a little girl for about thirty minutes when I saw the Rolling Stone post on Facebook. I've been a Rush fan since I was ten years old, and within a couple of years, I was an absolute fanatic. Moving Pictures grabbed me, and my lifelong love of Rush was truly born. Though I never met Neil Peart, I felt like a close friend died. His passing would have been an absolute gut punch even if I'd had time to prepare for that inevitable dark day. But we...

Re: I've seen enough...
What was worse about this game? The Perry call was bogus, but I chalk that up to a college ref applying NCAA standards to the NFL, something easily correctable. ESPN seemed to be in the tank for complaining about the replacements, but overall I did not think they did any worse than what the regular refs provide. For those with short memories, here are some comments from the more recent Packer games. I only had to search as far back as the Thanksgiving game, and these are a minimal fraction...

Re: I don't believe the regular officials will be getting hero's welcomes going forward.
I've never seen a ref lose control like Triplette did at CM3. I don't know what Clay said or did (kind of looked like taunting and/or messing with the Saint on the ground), but Triplette lost control and pushed Clay. Not only is it completely unprofessional it's downright dumb to push a guy who is 24 and 6'4" and 255 lbs. when you're a middle aged guy who isn't a professional athlete. He's lucky it was a smart guy like Clay and not some hothead like Kyle Turley who would have decked him and...

Re: Tom Brady restructures....again
He could have gotten more. Give him credit for giving the team flexibility to add talent around him. He won't go hungry though, so he's not the saint they are making him out to be out east. Still, a little credit for not soaking the system for all he could (and I wouldn't have held it against him if he did).

Re: Harvin traded to Seattle
But the value was crap. Kep the picks, and nab Tavon Austin who's cheaper and not a known d-bag. They're either convinced Saint Louis will take Austin or it's as much to make headlines as improve the team.

Re: 'Tears Flyin' Favre feels he owes teammates but ankle hasn't improved...
I know Big Irv was no Saint and wasn't perfect either, but something tells me there never would have been a circus if he was still around. Maybe he might have been the one person that might have been able to talk Brett out of some of the mistakes he's made since spring 2008. Who knows, maybe he would have sucked up to his son just like everyone else did, but somehow I think an old school guy like himself might have been able to rein Brett's ego in a little bit and kept him grounded.

Re: 'Tears Flyin' Favre feels he owes teammates but ankle hasn't improved...
I don't buy that. Irv was the one who raised him, and if Irv was going to instill positive values in him, they would certainly have taken hold by this time. Brent's not 12 anymore, he's a friggin grandpa. The traits you are now seeing were formed many years ago.

Wasn't even my team and I'm still pissed. The refs really took control of that game! This years Bears team in the Super Bowl would be the worst team to every make it, Making for a completely boring game.

Re: Per Scheffter, Saints Players win appeal!!
Hargrove didn't show much other than he could yap a lot and piss off Trgovac. Coming at this time I don't necessarily see this helping the Saints that much. Vilma's a descending player anyway and bringing these miscreants back into the locker room now isn't necessarily going to contribute to team chemistry. Whoops, I should take that back. Saint Drew can fix everything.

Re: ESPN OTL: Braun & A-Rod to be suspended
If Braun wanted to be the saint he portrayed himself to be last year, it seems to me he SHOULD have said he has been juicing and he beat the rap on a technicality. Instead, he takes advantage of a technicality that though rightly beating him from a rap, DOES NOT rightfully license his use of it to make it sound like he is lily white from the perspective of PED use. I think Braun ought to get thrown under some bus.

Re: **Glazer Reports Lynch traded to Seahawks**
You're not thinking clearly. This is 2010 now and ALL teams have flaws. There are no "dynasties". Like Armored Saint said yesterday... "Somewhere Pete Rozelle is smiling" The league wants every team at 8-8. It generates interest across the entire country and means more revenue. Simple economics. The Packers are one of the best teams in the NFL right now. Will that continue? I hope so but it's a long season

Re: **Glazer Reports Lynch traded to Seahawks**
I realize that Boris, which makes it almost impossible to involve historical data in the discussion. Thing is, the offense is good. They will score points. Could they be even better with a more well-rounded RB? I say yes. And I think that a better RB could lead to better time of possession against the better teams in this league. This is supposed to be the easy part of the schedule, yet we're struggling. The reason for the Packers' struggles include: Pass defense, penalties, special teams,...

Re: New site to find your local Packers bar!
I have been in some serious schit holes around this country that are Packers bars, this place is a abomination to Packer fandom. First off, it's a schit hole straight off the bat. Second, you can find the random fat bitches snorting whatever is convenient off the terlet. Third, the staff absolutely hates the "packers fans" because they are schit ton of obnoxious trash. Their patron whore "saint" Packer Deb, grew up in Clearwater, never been to Lambeau (or Wisconsin for that matter) and is a...

Congrats on the win. I guess the NFL felt sorry for you guys because I was certain they were going to call the "tuck rule" on the final play of strip/sack on Rivers to give the Chargers another shot. Sure looked eerily similar to the tuck rule. I would've called tuck rule. We must protect the shield and continue to generate interest in the game. It's important!

Armored Saint seems like a good dude. I don't mind Brees. I like Jimmy Graham, Darren Sproles, and Colston. I'd go with the Saints first. Luke Kuechly is fun to watch. I am really curious what Favre did that was so bad off the field. A lot of us have heard the rumors, which probably had some validity to them. It's not really inside information COP. Favre was never a saint off the field but it's not breaking news. What Favre did was/is common for a lot of pro athletes. I have you targeted as J.P. at KFAN.

It is funny to hear people tell me that I'm not an insider when I never claimed to be. It is equally funny for someone who wasn't in the business to tell me that "everyone" heard this or that and it wasn't inside info without knowing what I might know. I think I know the difference between rumors ordinary folks hear and stuff that is said by people in the business. Sometimes, they can be the same thing. Oftentimes they are not. Rumors are one thing. I have never ever in my life claimed to be...
