Wtf does Sean Jones have to do with anything any more? He hasn't been a member of the organization since '96, and aside from Favre, who else he even knew would have been around Sitton? When Sitton was drafted, Jones was still under indictment for mortgage fraud iirc.

other than phoning in to Chris Havel's radio show once a week... it appears wheeling and dealing is what Sean's doing. from wikijunk: 2003 In December 2003, arbitrator Roger Kaplan ruled that Jones violated National Football League Players Association regulations in his financial dealings with NFL player Ebenezer Ekuban. Jones received a two-year suspension, prohibiting him from representing NFL players until February 26, 2005.[1] Jones later sued Ekuban and his attorney for slander and...

Re: Do U believe ELI is a top #5 QB?

4 Favre ·
I don't know if he's top 5 by rankings, probably a little short. But that doesn't mean I think he's a particularly good QB, just that there are so many bad QBs. The guy is decent. He put out a competent performance and his team won against us. Big deal. So if Brady doesn't win the Super Bowl this year he's all of a sudden a question mark? I don't buy that either, the guy is a much better QB now than when he was winning Super Bowls. Eli Manning may very well be in the Super Bowl this year,...

Re: Do U believe ELI is a top #5 QB?

Fountainfox ·
Ratings are certainly subjective things, as Pikes aptly pointed out. Just a couple years ago I was pulling hard for Eli and he delivered as a strong underdog in one of the truly memorable Super Bowls -- same as another NY QB did forty years earlier. Now he's a fraud? If I were building a team he's certainly one of the first five of today's crop that I'd want -- AR, Brees, Brady, Peyton occupy the top four. I've never seen what's so great about Rivers, and I also think Flacco is better that...

Re: Is It Time to Adjust Expectations?

4 Favre ·
I don't know if I trust McCarthy with expectations of a dynasty. You can't win the Super Bowl every year, but that doesn't excuse the last two postseasons. I'd feel better if they were truly competitive in those games, but face it. The Packers got clobbered. Those games were the sort of mess that only happens when poor preparation and game planning meet bad game management. If you look at the run through the NFC playoffs in 2010, I think maybe the most important part is that all the coaches...

Just think - he was a yard short of going to OT in a Super Bowl in 2000. He's been living off that ever since. MM actually won a Super Bowl - think what he'd get somewhere else. He's 31-43-1 as the Rams coach. He was 14-22 the last two years as the Titans coach. 45-65-1 over his last 7 years. His success as the Tennessee coach was heavily based no having Steve McNair. McNair was a fraud as a human being, but a tough NFL QB you could win with. He was 76-55 with McNair, but 66-75 without him...

Looking forward to the game even more now that Miami lost yesterday. Wisconsin clearly controls their playoff destiny. Win out and they are a lock. That starts today in Murderapolis. Minnesota will get better under Fleck but I see two clear advantages in this one today favoring Wisconsin. The Goofs are allowing a lot of yards on the ground - something to the tune of 170 per game. If Taylor/Shaw/James don't get the ball 50 times then something is wrong. The other factor is the Minnesota...
