Re: The Ugly, The Bad ...and the Good?
The Good. 1. Cook showed how much the offense can benefit when you have a TE that is a receiving threat. They really haven't had that since Finley. 2. Rodgers missed a few, but it was clear that Cousins was also having problems with balls thrown in the flat because of the wind. A couple of those moved several feet when thrown in that direction. Other than that, Rodgers played pretty well. The OL can't run block and can't really protect, so Rodgers is what's keeping them somewhat respectable.

Re: 2016 (Team 96) WK14 Seahags @ GB GDT
Okay, if Wilson throws another pick I can guarantee you 3 things will happen. Peppers will tell the interceptor to lay down, the Seahawks will run a successful onside kick and AJ Hawk will blow a fake kick.

I couldn't give two ****s what guys do on their off days. Goodness, it's a grind, let them blow off steam. We celebrate Max getting lit the night before the superbowl, but think some guys getting on a boat is a problem?

Re: Let's Talk Cowboys (Divisional Playoff Game 1/15/17)
The formula for slowing down Elliot isn't really that complex either, it's just playing smart and disciplined football. They struggled to run up the middle against GB, 20 runs for 65 yards (3.25 ypc). but on the edge they made hay with 10 runs for 94 yards (9.4 ypc). Give Elliot the tiniest crease and he will blow it wide open. We need disciplined football from Peppers, Matthews, and Perry to set the edge and ILBs to stay clean and fill gaps. If everyone is healthy I wouldn't be surprised to...

I think they do more 4-3 than we realize with Pep and Jones hands on the ground

Re: Let's Talk Cowboys (Divisional Playoff Game 1/15/17)
Looking back at the gamebook from the first game we started; Perry & Peppers at OLBer Clark, Daniels, & Guion on the interior Matthews at ILBer Gunter, Randall, Hyde, Burnett, & Dix at DB I have no idea how long we went with this alignment since the Cowboys drove 75 yards in 8 plays to score a TD on their first possession.

Re: It’s Vikings Week
Trae Waynes knows what holding is, but he might not play on Sunday. Has the rube chat guy ever looked at the what the viking O line's hands are doing during a play? I say they should blow that horn every time a viking holds someone. They might have enough material for a song.

Re: Round 1 Pick 26 (From Miami) QB Jordan Love Utah State
The pick is not as crazy as it seems. Rodgers is not the QB he used to be and his contract is effectively up in three years, when Rodgers turns 40. Brady and Brees have made it work at age 40 but Rodgers relies more on his athleticism than both, so I think Rodgers sees more of a decline in the next three years. And when it happens, it's a cliff. Look at Favre. And even though Manning won that Super Bowl, his play was so bad that last year that it was actually a minor controversy to bench...

I mean. Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields are probably going 1 and 2. Lot of people love KJ Costello, and a year with Leach could have him blow up to a Top 10, or he could fall into Day 2/3. Jamie Newman could be a mid/late 1st rounder.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_7TexNP4eA 1978 week 4 @SD Chargers. You heard Howard right, SD had 11 turnovers in the game! Willie Buchanan, my all time favorite player had 4 int in the game and one TD. GB had 9 first downs, 7 completions on the day, gave up 10 sacks, had 9 net passing yards, 11 penalties for 105 yds and won in a blow out!

Brice missed a tackle - what a shocker Much like the TE group they can blow up the safety position in the offseason Josh Jackson having a rough game. Actually, he’s had a difficult rookie year after looking so promising to start the year. Hope he just hit the rookie wall

Re: Bucks vs Knicks
If Giannis can do some of the things he did last night in the 4th quarter of a playoff game, the Bucks aren't losing until at least the NBA Finals. The dunk on Randle from the restricted area was one that we've gotten so used to we don't appreciate the athleticism. I was watching it and waiting for him to flip in about a 4 foot floater and then he seemed to go "Inspector Gadget" and dunk it with his back foot starting outside the restricted area. Julius Randle is about 6'10" and 250 pounds...

Slums of Milwaukee. Not us Northeast West Western Wisconsites! Clean livin' in all that cow shit. Fun fact. If the bluffs weren't so high along the confluence of the St.Croix and Mississippi river we'd be talking about the twin cities of Prescott and Hastings.

Re: Bucks vs Mavs (no Doncic)
Mavs blew their load. Bucks getting their intensity up defensively and getting out on the break. Giannis 21 and 7 so far- second half should be fun. The Bucks blow teams out so much, a really tight competitive game is fun!

Re: Bucks vs Pacers
Bud really screwed up at the end of that quarter. A 21 point lead was cut to 10 with Giannis and Middleton on the bench. A blow out now becomes a contested game. That was terrible defensive lineup on the court for 3 point defense. Ilyasova, R. Lopez, Korver, and Connaughton and the Bucks were scoreless the last 3:20.

Re: Jared Cook/Taysom Hill
I keep on having a problem with the Cook thing. Dude had a great catch vs Dallas in playoffs, but these were his stats for the injury plagued season: 2016 GB 30 377 12.6 47 1 Not sure I would have paid him either based on that. He did blow up with Oakland for 2 years before really coming on this year, but fuck let’s all be GM’s and say we saw that coming. I still blame the chicken wing fiasco for him leaving. Small town market BWW. Stuff never would have happened in NO

Re: SNF: #1 or #2 Seed Game Thread
Seattle is soft.....they're also very fortunate to be 11-4 -- their games have been so close they could easily be 8-8 or worse. 3 losses in that shithole of a stadium. Could 5 easily (last second miss by Rams K & Bengals blow it) People say the same shit about the Packers which may or may not be true. I have NFI why nobody is talking about the Hawks in the same vein. I guess because they have a younger QB. Seattle SoftSquawks - Lotsa talk....not much else. Their QB is really good though...

Re: SNF: #1 or #2 Seed Game Thread
If the Saints blow out the Vikings, will the Packers be big underdogs at home? How many times has a 13 win team been an underdog at home after a bye? The Packers are playing with the house's money at this point.

Re: Way early look at draft
We need to address ILB, OL & DL depth, WR and QB depending on who is available at our picks in the 2020 draft. Gute's willingness to venture into FA will also impact our draft. Will Gute and Co. keep Martinez? Will they trade him? Whatever Gute and Co. decides to do with Martinez, they will need to look at drafting an ILB in the first round, IMO. Right now, for QB, Tua looks like damaged goods. Why take a chance on him and blow a first round draft pick, if he might not play for us, ever?

Re: 2019 NFC Championship Game Thread: Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers
How many Super Bowls have the 9ers won without Rodgers? How about the Packers? 9ers have the strategy of blow your wad, lose in the Super Bowl, crater, repeat. Packers just continue to go to the playoffs. Now he's got an organization that's progressing through a soft rebuild. But don't let facts get in the way.

Re: End of Season +/-
look, we got beat clean by a better team. + take something away from that ass kicking and come back bitter about it. use that to be better next year + the change in one year is amazing + we have a good nucleus to work with on both sides - have some serious talent gaps, so the reset continues - to get to the tecmobowl football that sf played last night, we need a couple more years. - i abs hate getting embarrassed in front of the country like that...the team should really take that chip and...

Re: End of Season +/-
I have to keep this season in perspective and look at this as Year 1 of a multi-year process of building a true championship team. It was entertaining for sure, but still still kind of hollow at the end. If there was one positive that came out of the 2 SF blow-outs, it's that Gutekunst and Murphy have a true measuring stick of where the talent level is and how far it still needs to go. Not having multiple top 10 draft picks is the price you pay for consistently being good but not great. But...
