Re: Bucky @ unHappy Valley
Coan is a disaster How can this team not be able to find a QB? Jim Leonard also has his work cut out for him. Lots of injuries but man just not fundamentally sound.

Re: Bucky @ unHappy Valley
Why would they throw the ball on 3rd down after two running plays - unbelievably stupid.

Good thing the Bucks play this afternoon This is not a dominant Penn State team by any stretch

Re: Bucky @ unHappy Valley
Yup, the Badger formula of no penalties, great special teams, effort from unknowns, solid , solid D, consistent O line play and the ability to control the game by RTFB is missing this year. Getting plenty of yards on the ground but mostly on big plays. With this QB a 4 yard and a cloud of dust O is needed, this line seems unable to do that. Both PC and JL need to get er back on track.

If I am Taylor I really have to consider heading to the pros after this year. With no QB threat to speak of why not?

Re: Bucky @ unHappy Valley
Coan had a wide open AJ Taylor that could have walked into the EZ and just choked on that throw.

I can’t remember a Badgers team that made so many mistakes and played so undisciplined. Just so uncharacteristic of this program.

Hard to see Bucky winning if they can't get something out of the passing game.

Yeah, this is hard to watch.... even the OL is beginning to stink badly.

Re: Bucky @ unHappy Valley
And to think coming into this season some thought this might be their best offense yet. Tough to be decent when you can’t complete a goddamn pass. Then again, this all world OL at times has looked very ordinary. That’s tough to figure out. In the meantime the defense missed a few more tackles. Ugh

Badgers looking like Packers with the injuries. When it rains it pours.

Nice job of stripping the ball. Now, if only the offense can do something with it....

These are some of the worst throws in major college football that I have ever seen. I have been watching for 65 years.

It’s pretty incredible how one year can turn so quickly. If they play like this I’m not sure they beat Purdue.

Re: Bucky @ unHappy Valley
Coan is bad. Cannot throw, has problems playing under center, can't read a pass rush.

Re: Bucky @ unHappy Valley
Chryst is supposed to be the QB whisperer but man Coan is bad. Like DII bad. Leonhard isn’t exactly setting the world on fire either although the D is playing a lot of new guys.

Re: Bucky @ unHappy Valley
It shows us all why Hornibrook kept playing even when he's appeared not to be merit playing. Obviously, he's much better than Coan and it's probably obvious in practice too. Why are the Badgers unable to recruit an upper level college QB more often?

Re: Bucky @ unHappy Valley
The D has been bad but they only gave up 22 points. It seems like only 3 guys know how to tackle.

Re: Bucky @ unHappy Valley
I doubt they beat Purdue. Just be satisfied with beating Minnesota and going 7-5.

Re: Bucky @ unHappy Valley
7-5 might be the most disappointing finish in program history given what they have done the last 2-3 years. The 2000 season has nothing on this group.

Re: Bucky @ unHappy Valley
The Badgers have 4 running backs with at least 20 carries this year. All of them average over 6.5 yards/carry. The OL is filled with future NFL guys. Yes, the OL has been a little disappointing, but the top 4 RBs have about 360 carries over the 10 games and have averaged 6.5 yards on those carries. You don't do that without a good OL. And most of those carries have been into defenses with 8 or 9 guys in the box. They've lost 4 games. 1 of those was because they had three fumbles from RBs.

Yup, they have had many good to great players at every position....not this year. They are what they are at this point. And that's OK, next year is another year. PC is a good coach, JL is a good coach, reload, get healthy and 2019 will be a very good year. Oh, I hope Mertz is a Fred, not an Ethel.
