It's the guaranteed money that's dramatically different.

Packers probably offered $3-$4 million guaranteed on a 2 year $10 million deal.

Maybe $5 million but that's pushing it.

Sadness Factory doubled the guaranteed money.

IOW, the guaranteed money from the Browns was equal to the total contract from the Packers. In a game where your career could end at any moment Tramon really couldn't turn down that offer. 

Tramon Williams has been paid a total of $37.4 million dollars by the Green Bay Packers since 2007. If he wants to maximize his earnings by playing 32 games that don't matter for a little extra salad then who am I to say differently. I just don't effing get these guys sometimes. I'm also glad Ted knows when to say when. 

Bradley Fletcher...

 

Each time the Eagles were on last year, which was often, Bradley turned a darker shade of toast. He is a truly horrible CB. 

Sheard is the guy I think will flourish in New England this year, with Chandler being a short-yardage blocker unless/until Gronkowski gets hurt.

Ted isn't interested in Welker. He's just ****ing with Jennings now that Greg says he'd be open to a GB return. Ted is pure evil behind that calm facade.

Agents know Ted won't comment on a specific player, even to deny interest, so they throw the Packers name out there just to drum up some interest. The market for a 33 yr old WR with a significant concussion history is shockingly low apparently.

The Hardy deal is pretty interesting, he basically gets a per-game-active bonus that causes almost no cap or salary issues if he's suspended, but no injury protection.

There would always be room for Welker... if this was 2012. But the 2014 Welker looked pretty much done.
