One of those comp picks could be used for this guy.  It fits TT's MO anyway.

One day the Packer secondary could consist of (in part) Rollins, Goodson, and Hawkins - all former basketball players.  Then again maybe (and probably) not.

I would add Maclin to the super secret unpublished unacknowledged reserve squad the Packers have.  I only know about it because I read it on a bubble gum wrapper which I was told was a mistaken printing.   Anything that had to be denied is true.

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Khyri Thornton has been suspended for the first six games of the 2017 season for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy.

Thornton had 18 tackles and one sack in 13 games for the Lions last season. He signed a two-year, $3.3 million deal with Detroit in the offseason.

The worst pick Ted Thompson has made as GM for GB. In fairness to Ted only two players from the 2014 draft have made a Pro Bowl that were selected after Khyri was taken by GB in round three. Bad class. Carl Bradford was round four.

But my goodness Khyri was a terrible pick.

Cleveland's CB Justin Gilbert suspended for the entire year. That 1st round pick in  2014 along with Johnny Idiot Menzel are both complete busts.

It doesn't much matter how many high picks you collect if you keep turning up shi*.

Worse than Justin Harrell?

"I have a lot of respect for David Harris. That guy is, first of all, he never comes of the field - not just this year, but any year. The guy is like a 98, 99 percent playtime player for them every year, year after year. ... He's a very instinctive player, which unfortunately we've seen that firsthand. He does a good job for them. he's been very consistent, durable, dependable, productive over a long period of time."

Bill Belichick on David Harris back in 2014. Bill has loved Harris for a long time. No surprise he's a Patriot today and a damned shame he's not a Packer.

I do understand wanting to let your young ILBs improve and not hindering their development by signing a veteran, but yeah I would have loved to have David Harris in the middle running the show. I like Martinez, I think he has that throwback mentality and the instincts you want, but he's still learning and isn't there yet. Hopefully he takes the next step this year after hitting the rookie wall last year. Jake Ryan, to me, took a big step from Year 1 to Year 2, hopefully we see the same from Mart.

Also saw where Sam Barrington was signed by Buffalo.
He may be a long shot to make a roster nowadays, so I'll wish him luck.

There's a lot of players who will start the season on PUP or NFI, including Andrew Luck, where one Scott Tolzien is the primary backup...
Knocking wood heavily, but Green Bay opens TC in relatively good health.

Some 22 players, including Allison and Guion, will miss anywhere from 1-4 games due to suspension by the league.  Whipping boy Brandon Bostic has a 4-gamer. Khyri Thornton, mentioned above, starts the season under a 6 game suspension.  Darren Waller (TE/BAL) and Justin Gilbert (CB/PIT) have managed year-long suspensions.

Anyone who trades for Aaron Donald will have to give up to much to inherit his problems.  He should report because he has a contract.  Donald will treat any future team the same way he treats his current team.  Now if the Rams paid a team to take him - you have to wonder about what your getting.

Apparently Jarvis Landry is under investigation for battery. Incident involving his girlfriend earlier this year. In related news Calvin Johnson was spotted in attendance on the sideline at Miami's practice today.
