TT has the good sense not to throw away draft picks like that.
I'm sure BB has built in some safeguards. But his grand plan goes directly to **** if he loses Hightower. That's his absolute everything on defense.

Im just going to leave these Remmer SB gifs here....
Good pick up. Didn't Minny throw him out of town a few years back?
Shows good feet chasing the rusher after he is beaten.

Yes because with 7 super appearances and five wins, we ALL know Billicheck hasn't a clue what he is doing

Thank you, Julius.

Gadzooks Billy wanted that guy bad.
Wow, added a new dimension to that offense. Watch out!
How many of those SBs were won as the result of cheating?
2.
The first three were the result of stolen signals; the one against Seattle was the result of mis-inflated footballs. Time will tell what sort of cheating led to Atlanta's collapse.
OK, 10.
ChilliJon posted:Pats trade their 2nd round pick to Carolina for DE Kony Ealy and Carolina 3rd round pick. Carlolina drafted Ealy in round 2 2014. Probably means BB is done with Chris Long.
That seems pretty cheap for Ealy though he'll be in a contract year.

Holy crap! Probably end up good for both teams.
Yup. Just a swap of picks by the Pats.
BB going all in for 1 more SB so he and Brady can ride off into the sunset.
Sure seems that way.
#Raiders agree on a 2 year deal with OT Marshall Newhouse, source said.

Newhouse as a backup in Oakland seems the right fit for both sides. The Raiders are looking a lot better.
Not a bad career for a turnstile.

Eddie "weighing" all options before visiting Packers.
right below the Lacy blurb, this: http://www.espn.com/blog/minne...gs-to-bring-him-back
too funny, what a dumbass. I suppose, tho, when you spend 4 years learning one playbook you don't want to go to another team and spend 4 years learning that one. don't ever change, Corduroy.
Colts LB Erik Walden is visiting the Titans today, per source.

DeMarcus Ware announced his retirement today.
Bennie Logan signed a one year deal with KC today. $8 million. I thought he might be a nice add but that's too damned much money. Need to wait a while longer for the contracts to start making sense.
Any idea what Poe is looking for? Does he offer anything to the defense?
i agree with the sentiment that there is no real identity for the defense "wizardly conception" I believe Hank used. That has to change.

A cask of Amontillado?
Fedya? No!

Per @_SportsTrust, RB Eddie Lacy has agreed to terms with the #Seahawks. They answer their RB question
What weighs 267 lbs?
Given his eating, cartoon-watching, and lack of interest in football, it is surprising we got what we did out of him for 4 years. Really a testament to his talent.
Don't forget asthma!
heard on the radio that McGinn, I believe, reported that Eddie's 33 lbs overweight right now. makes me kinda glad he's departed. if he hasn't learned good eating habits by now given the concerns about him, he never will.
thanks for your service, cya.

NO! Bad girl, Fandame. We will not encourage Fedya to be witty.
I'm glad we got what we did out of Eddie, but not shedding a tear losing him.

I don't need anybody's encouragement to be witty and erudite.
As an English teacher, I have to be impressed when someone incorporates good literature in a football post.
I was going to post about Eddie Lacy sooner, but I had to finish my Chipotle burrito and breath heavily on the couch for a bit.
I digress.
As much as I would have liked Lacy to stay, I think the Packers not resigning him is a good thing (although I'm concerned they attempted to throw a similar deal at him). Lacy has a weight problem, that much is clear. However, I think it's compounded now that he was inactive for a long period of time after surgery and put even more back on. 267 pounds is a big man. Can he rehab and get into the 240s like the Seahawks want for 2017? Probably. But I think injuries will be looming and the weight issue will never go away.

Even Fedya?
I was going to throw in a quote from Rose for Emily when I checked my references. It was actually by Faulkner, not by Poe. I have been wrong for more than a decade about this(I'm used to that). Incentive to pick it up again, I guess.
