Sounds like the Bears are bidding against themselves for Glennon and he could end up making 15+ million per season.    Leave it to the Bears to not only find but also overpay the one guy who might actually be a downgrade from Cutler.  Hoyer had a 98.0 rating when he got KO'ed last year, I don't think Glennon will match that.

That is just freaking insane to pay Glennon that kind of money.  Decent QB sure but not good enough to command THAT much coin.  But hey if the Bears want to suck up their cap money on moves like this I am all for it.

From Chris Mortensen:

Kirk Cousins appealed personally to owner Dan Snyder for a trade but was basically told not to get his hopes up, per sources.

Their GM has been told to stay away from the facilities. He's been spotted in the DC area with a full ass beard and wearing sweats at places like Starbucks and Home Depot. Rumor is he's back on the liquor but no one is saying a thing. Now a QB that's been given a tag worth $25 million wants the eff out but they won't let him.

Well done Danny.

With Perry gone, he should get some pretty good offers:

44m44 minutes agThe have released pass-rusher Connor Barwin, they announced.

This would be a decent DE signing for TT...he plays better in a 3-4 vs a 4-3

I agree IF the price is right. But I doubt it is because of the FA signing frenzy going on right now.

If he is still available in a few weeks then it might be a good pick up.

Cincy's OL loses their two best players. Ouch. Cleveland putting together a talented, but extremely high priced interior OL.

I was thinking the same thing.  But if the Browns are smart with their $100m in cap room, they could set themselves up well in future years.  For example, Zeitler signed for 5 years $60m.  But if they pay Zeitler $40m in salary/bonuses this year, then they have Zeitler for 4 years at $20m in future years.  Do the same thing with 2-3 other young high priced guys and they've hit that salary cap minimum while stocking the team with young talent that will be cheap in future years, when they might actually be able to compete for something.  Is there any rule against this?  Seem smart to me so of course, doubtful the Browns are doing this.

I haven't watched Jones that much but his critics of this deal said Jones isn't always that great against the run. He'll have moments where he's playing too soft

Perry put up very good sack numbers yes but he's usually also very good against the run as well. The Packers got a good player in both regards if of course he can stay healthy.

Dammit Cleveland. You spend all day doing non Cleveland like stuff building a really nice OL for the long haul. Then BAM!!!!!! You go and do Cleveland Brown things. Trading for Houstons second rounder in 2018 and Brock Osweillers contract. You realize you just gave Houston the greatest gift imaniginable, yes? Houston gets to erase Brock off their books entirely and all it cost them was a second round pick? Why in the **** would you do something like this?????
