Not good for Dall-Ass, but looks like Guion will have a new home.

The Dallas Cowboys may be losing a defensive lineman for reasons other than suspension.

Per multiple reports, Cowboys defensive end Tyrone Crawford left practice on a cart after injuring his ankle in practice. Clarence E. Hill, Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram says itโ€™s Crawfordโ€™s right ankle, and that โ€œit doesnโ€™t look good.โ€

If Crawford misses time, rookie first-rounder Taco Charlton would be thrust more deeply into the fray.

The Cowboys currently are adjusting to a defense that lost several key players to free agency, and that has had more than a few suspensions in recent years.

From a Curt Warner PFT article...

Boldin retires at No. 9 on the all-time reception list, with 1,076. Thatโ€™s more than Hall of Famers Andre Reed (951), Art Monk (940), Steve Largent (819), James Lofton (764), Michael Irvin (750), Charlie Joiner (750), Charley Taylor (649), Don Maynard (633), Raymond Berry (631), Fred Biletnikoff (589), Lance Alworth (542), John Stallworth (537), Tommy McDonald (495), Don Hutson (488), Paul Warfield (427), Elroy Hirsch (387), and Lynn Swann (336).

A recap from their last preseason game (granted, it was against the Pats):

When it was starters vs. starters, the Lions looked...: Terrible. Atrocious. Pick your putrid adjective. Defensively, the pass rush was nonexistent and Brady had time to shred the secondary. Offensively, the Lions couldnโ€™t do much right, either. The teamโ€™s first three drives resulted in a turnover and two three-and-outs. It was ugly. About the only positive for the Lions was the play of safety Glover Quin, who had an interception in the second quarter and continued to be a solid veteran in the back.

One reason to be concerned: Just one? While this game doesnโ€™t count in the standings, the Lions looked nowhere close to one of the NFLโ€™s premier teams. They were outclassed on offense and run over on defense, and the special teams were mediocre. If Detroit looks like this in the regular season, it could be a long season.

Rodgers got 5 years and only 54 mil guaranteed which was just 49% of the total value. That was only like 3 years ago right? Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't guaranteed money generally around only 40% to 60% of the total value? 92 mil guaranteed probably means the total contract is guaranteed, which is dumb IMO. Otherwise the total value is 150 to 200 mil, which is even dumber. The salary cap has only gone up what 25% since Rodgers signed his deal, 92 mil guaranteed would be a crazy increase even for Rodgers.
