No draft pick now, I'll bet.
They got him just to learn about Dom's defense.
Now he gets a whole season's pay to sit on his butt.

Or "Wrong Way Marshall" or "The Marshall Plan".
In case you didn't know, the real Marshall Plan was to rebuild Europe after WWII. The Viking version is to make sure they didn't need to build a trophy case.

I think he's finally done. Great career for someone from a small school who had to scrap and fight to build an NFL career.
OW.
The #Seahawks believe RB Chris Carson broke his ankle last night based on initial tests, I’m told. MRI to determine full extent of damage.

desperate times in detwoit? I'm getting my fork out to check for done-ness.
Peterson to the Cardinals!
Adrian Peterson has been a forgotten man in New Orleans. And now he’s not in New Orleans at all anymore.
The Saints have traded Peterson to the Cardinals, according to Dianna Russini of ESPN. The Saints will get a conditional draft pick.
The Cardinals are averaging just 2.6 yards a carry and have been desperate for help at running back since David Johnson got hurt. They hope Peterson can provide that help.
It’s hard to see that happening, however, given that the 32-year-old Peterson has gained just 81 yards on 27 carries through four games this season.
So Peterson will get one last chance to revitalize his career, in the same place where Emmitt Smith got a last chance to revitalize his career. Smith gained 937 yards in his final year in the NFL, as a Cardinal. It’s hard to see Peterson getting that many yards in Arizona.
He's a "forgotten man" because he has nothing left in the tank. I can't believe the Card's couldn't find some youngster off a team's practice squad who could actually, you know, run.
Saints will get a conditional draft pick
You know there are Packers fans screaming why didn't Ted do this?
The only one who doesn't know AP is done is AP, and now, maybe Ariens.
Aaron Jones is probably the better player at this time. Any Packer fans still lusting after Peterson haven't been paying attention.
I don't care if he bombs out or sets the world on fire.
Living in Tempe I'll have this second feed of entertainment to amuse me when the Pack is resting.

Certainly has less mileage on his tires, but it's too soon to say better. Jones is definitely more well rounded and more coachable at this point. I'd rather roll the dice with him than Peterson.

AP needs the money to pay the loans he's defaulted on.
Cardinals are already the oldest team in the league. Makes perfect sense to add a 32 year old running back to the roster.

That was really the point I was making.

Chris Johnson
And now Adrian Peterson

The Ben McAdoo experiment in NY will be over soon. Apparently Dominic Rodgers Cromartie got twisted up at Mac on Sunday when he was benched. DRC showed up this morning and picked up where he left off. Another blow up. DRC got in his car and left. Mac says he’s going to be suspended.
Giants are worse than the 0-5 record indicates.
Wow. They've got nothing now.
I don't think it's all McAdoo. GM spent his wad on D a couple years ago, let his OL fall apart and doesn't seem to be able to draft any better than his next door neighbor.
Things not going well for Ben...
#Giants CB DRC met with Ben McAdoo this morning, and McAdoo informed DRC that he is suspended indefinitely. CBA maximum is 4 weeks.

Ben is going to be "suspended indefinitely" after they go 0-6.
He's done.
Agree DH13 - I see it as a Jerry Reese problem. No OL and terrible RBs. They had receivers and now they don't even have that. Giants are done this year.
Stick a fork in 'em. If the Gmen did make the playoffs this year, they would be the first team to start 0-5 and go to the playoffs. Worst start to go to playoffs were was the 1992 Chargers at 0-4 and they lost early.
Well. The Chargers went on to win 11 of their next 12 games and did end up with an 11-5 record while winning the division in 1992. That is some feat.
Then, they beat the Chefs at home in the Wild Card Round and then got whipped the next week at Miami in one of those rainy icky games that can happen in south Florida.
For the #Patriots, LB Dont’a Hightower (torn pec) is their rock on D, their leader and communicator. Losing him for the season is brutal.

Trade deadline this afternoon.
Shall I hold my breath ?
And die? I wouldn't. Besides, what would he trade for? A defensive coordinator? A good one would cost to many draft picks.
I'd take a mid-tier DC at this point.
