Did the Packers just agree to sign Sherman?

No. Gute likes Kizer more than Hundley.

If the reports are correct, we swap picks with the Browns in rounds 4 & 5. We move up from 114 in the 4th round to 101 which is the #1 pick of the 4th round and in the 5th round we move up from 150 to 138, which is the 1st pick in the 5th Round. Sounds like we will be adding CBs in the draft and in FA.

If Rodgers goes down, Kizer isn’t leading them anywhere.
The packers reluctance to focus on an absolutely glaring deficiency is baffling.
Yeah, drafting King and Jones last year was baffling. ****ing idiot.
The point is you have a guy with the potential to be a starter who at minimum can develop under Rodgers. Because as we all know, QB is the least important position on the team so why would you have a competent backup?
Henry, what the ****? When the monkey insists on whacking off at the zoo, ignore it. It just wants attention.
Hi! My name is Henry. Nice to meet you.
My guess even a couple weeks ago is they go hard after Trumaine Johnson

Looking at the whole package this is a well constructed deal by Gute. Kizer is green as grass but much more physically talented than Hundley. With Philbin back MM can FOCUS more on the QB room and I don't care what any one says, when he has the time to focus on that he is as good as any one in the game. Hundley could never take a snap in Lambeau again as a Packer without being booed off the field, IMO. As pointed out above the picks' swap is a great deal for GB.
Only outlier is CB but I agree with Pakrz, Gute has a plan.

Really like the draft pick results of the trade. Hopefully Gutey has a plan at CB.
This is significant: The #Packers not only picked up QB DeShone Kizer in their trade of Damarious Randall, but they also moved up in the 4th and 5th rounds, I’m told. They swap 4th rounders with the #Browns and then 5th rounders, too. Browns move back twice, GB comes up.

This is huge if accurate. Both teams have multiple picks in each round so the "swap" could go either way. Moving up to the #1 pick in the 4th and 5th is nice.
On a side note, I think GB will add a quality veteran FA at CB soon.
lots of cb options out there. I think the clincher is the moves up in the draft. But they need some cb's now...no doubt.

Leave it to an idot Suckqueen fan not to understand the value of a backup QB. I mean Sam Bradford took the Suckqueens all the way to the NFC Championship game.
Sammy Watkins and Sherman?
Why not just give Hundley a "Kizer" jersey nameplate (no one will notice the difference) and keep Darsnivvelous Randall? Less paperwork to file with the league.

Yeah, if Rodgers goes down again I’m sure Kizer will lead the way. Lol. Talk of how much the packer FO liked Kizer in the draft? How many of those guys are with Cleveland now? Lol
I’d imagine Rodgers is thrilled as **** to see one of the more competent players on a crappy defense get traded for a guy the packers hope never sees the field.
You’d be all set if the game was called “QB”
And did you really think Keenam would get the Suckqueens to the NFC Championship game? Be honest if you know how.
11 TDs - 22 INTs - 6 fumbles lost
Not a bad year for Brett Kizer.
”The QB room is exactly where it needs to be”
Back up QB improved, Draft capital improved, Get rid of a cancer, salary cap improved.....CB position ?
Hopefully Gute has Trumaine Johnson on the way. We all know Ted would hope Lenzy Pipkins or Herb Waters would fill the gap

The Vikings had a top five defense and a functional running game.....those are a little more important to winning football games than a backup QB.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m more than happy to see the packers completely ignore the glaring weakness of their team as Rodgers enters the latter half of his career.
They just traded a 1st round pick for a backup QB and two stabs at 4th and 5th round talent.
Please. Continue.
How was Darsmarinous a cancer? I remember he was benched and he walked off the field or something, but is there more to it?

“Funny how I'm reading Packers loved DeShone Kizer in last years draft. Half of Green Bay's front office is in Cleveland, which just dumped him for Tyrod Taylor.”
Also lets not forget that the Packer do NOT have to pick up the 5th year option for Randall, at roughly 8,5 million. I think that they probably wanted to go the Nick Perry route for the 5th year, and now have a backup QB on a rookie salary for another 3 years. So that would save about 6.5-7 million on the 2019 cap as well
Kizer is likely going to be used to deal with Rodgers on his new contract?
Maybe Mick Carthy fell in love with Kizer after his 3 TD performance vs the Packers vaunted psycho G-Force D.

They didn't have to pick up the 5th year option regardless. It's a choice, yanno.

This looks like a very deep year at corner again, especially for press guys and if that's the plan, Randall didn't fit. I wouldn't be surprised if the Packers come away with three corners in the draft, maybe a trio like Quenton Meeks, Isaac Yiadom and Michael Joseph if they go elsewhere early.
Cleveland would appear to be out on Cousins and maybe in on Josh Allen (or Lamar Jackson?) with Tyrod Taylor in town as a bridge. Getting Jarvis Landry would appear to help every passer on their roster.
I'm guessing Buffalo is going to make a big move on draft day. They now have two firsts, seconds AND thirds. The two firsts, the higher second and Cleveland's third could theoretically get them ahead of Cleveland to Indy's spot at #3.

I see what you mean now. My bad, running a lap.
This is an interesting development.
Packers drafting at middle of 3rd, top of 4th, bottom of 4th, top of 5th, bottom of 5th. Going to be a fun day 3 in the MVP section for Boris down at Jerry World

Whats the packers record without Rodgers? 6-12-2 or something like that? Rodgers does an amazing job covering up the flaws of the packers. Kizer isn’t going to do that. You need to fix the flaws imo, rather than worry about what will happen should Rodgers go down again. We’ve already seen that movie.
The Vikings defense was set. The running game was set. Keenum, who only cost $2M, wasn’t asked to come in and save the day. He was told to not eff it up. A backup QB on today’s version of the packers doesn’t have that luxury. If they don’t perform at Rodgers level, they lose. It’s that simple.
Trading one of your better defensive pieces for a guy that you hope never sees the field is a net loss. You could find numerous guys on the NFL unemployment line that can do what Kizer does.
Until you plug all the other holes, it makes no difference who the backup QB is, because the packers are going nowhere without 12 under center.
Now, you can piss and moan about how I don’t talk football simply because you disagree with the take. Or you can throw some x’s and o’s out and convince me that I’m wrong.
I would hope the packers make this exact move 10 out of 10 times. You should be bolstering the team around Rodgers. Not making contingency plans for when he isn’t.

They just got Landry, why would they need another WR in Lamar?
Again the trolls from the North talk about "great defense" was that the #1 defense that was torched for 6 consecutive quarters and outside of a miracle would have lost at home to the Saints. Isn't this the same team that traded several picks for a guy they payed major bank too so he could sit the bench in 2017. So forgive me if I am not impressed by your logic!!

What the MIN slopdish doesn't seem to get is that this is the part of the year when teams adjust their rosters and address their weaknesses. You know the part MIN wins every off-season? It' March, dumbass. Go twiddle Same Bradford some more.
