Lol

I guess people aren’t leaving CA in droves.

So explain to me how in 4Q 2020 there were 267K departures compared to 128K that entered the state?  Should we blame uncle Covid for that?

Or simply state the obvious - a lot of people are tired of getting fleeced by high tax rates, more than necessary bureaucracy and red tape, and the over the top politics and social commentary?

If you spend any time in the Pacific NW or the SW like Nevada and Arizona and New Mexico you see full well the Calis relocating there en masse.  A big reason is cost of living is a lot more reasonable, although, I’m sure people in Portland and Seattle would suggest otherwise.

With so many teams void, and looking for a  good  young QBs,  GB is holding all the cards.  If the Broncos want Love, its going to cost them. "The Price Of Love"   -     I want that number 9  overall pick.   That opens up :

3 tackles, Sewell, Slater, Darrisaw

3 corners, Surtain,  Horn,  Farley

or  move back a pinch and nab

Penn St LB, M. Parsons

eVErYbODy was in favor of it when we drafted Rodgers.

TT thought Rodgers was the best player of the draft.  He didn't move up to get him.  He also waited until the last second to make the pick just to see if any crazy ass calls came in.  They weren't going to pass on Rodgers unless the Packers got some off the charts offer for him.  That's a savvy GM.

That's a GM who couldn't fully recognize the talent he was being given. You telling me if he knew what Rodgers would become he wouldn't have traded up to number 1? What you posted there is not actually complimentary to TT.

If Love is the new AAron Rodgers in 3 years are you going to be screeching about how you wish we'd drafted some shitty D tackle instead? Who was last year's Erasmus James?

Then go read it for yourself.  I posted the link a couple pages back.

And if Love takes a giant shit you'll be telling me how excellent the dopes in the FO were for moving up to pick a project QB on the way to alienating their HOF QB?

Well the past 24 hours have made me start to wonder if the Jordan Love timeline will be accelerated and that sucks that the Pack/Rodgers situation may have forced this but if it happens then I will just have to learn to love Love.

One positive and one negative about Love.  The positive, Utah State was absolutely horrible after Love left school early for the draft.  That pretty much shows that his mediocre performance in 2019 wasn't all on him as he did lead them to a 7-5 record and they only won 1 game the next year without him and that win was over a school that didn't win a game.

The negative.... the Pack didn't think highly enough of him to put him as #2 over Tim Boyle in 2020.  That can be at least partly explained by no pre-season action as a young 21 year old kid, but you just wish that he had shown enough in practice that he could have clearly beaten out Boyle.  It's not the end of the world as the no pre-season, no offseason minicamps, was part of the reason for that, but it is at least a little bit of a red flag.

If this whole turnover to Love happens this year this kid better have the ability to ignore everything around him. As bad as things were for Rodgers when he took over for Favre, it's going to be multiple times worse having a black QB take over for a white demi-god in a city that isn't exactly progressive.

I hope he doesn't own a dog. Or if he does, I hope it's a vicious one.

Something else to consider - should the Packers admit the mistake and trade Love for a pick tonight?  They could then rework Rodgers contract to give him more clarity on where he stands these next three years, likely via more salary guarantees in 2022 and 2023.  No idea if this placates Rodgers or if it's a smart move, but curious if it's on the table.

I don't think so. I'd rather ride AR through his contract (or a new contract for the same length that he likes) and then let the kid take over. If Rodgers can't win a SB with this group in the next 3 years then chances are he's not going to and will move on. We will need a QB anyway and hey we have one who will be 24 years old by then...like an old rookie with 4 years under his belt.
