The 2020 draft was marketed as the best WR draft ever. The WRs selected (in order): Henry Ruggs, Jerry Jeudy, Ceedee Lamb, Jaelon Raeger, Justin Jefferson, Brandon Aiyuk, Tee Higgins, Michael Pittman, Laviska Shenault, KJ Hamler, Chase Claypool, Van Jefferson, and Denzel Mims. 13 WRs in the first 2 rounds and you have an all-pro (Jefferson), a pro bowler (Lamb), a likely pro bowler (Aiyuk), 2 solid #2s (Pittman and Higgins), a JAG (Jeudy), 6 guys no longer on the team that drafted them (Raeger, Shenault, Hamler, Claypool, Jefferson, and Mims), and a felon (Ruggs). The draft is hard.
Fans in Denver never liked Jeudy. There's always been hope but it's been obvious he's a head case that prefers to post workout video than actual train to get better at football.
Real winners of USC-Notre Dame are the Packers since Caleb Williams is turning into Nathan Peterman for one night with execs from the other three NFC North teams in attendance

I wept when I read Billy B re-signed with the Pats. Probably a pipe dream but I hoped he would come to Green Bay especially since he likes NFL history so much.
Excerpts.....
Only three people know the details of Belichick's contract, according to Perry.
"I would say this just to use a few of the words that Tom just laid on us there. I would be dumbstruck if this is something that people within the organization would believe that the Krafts would want out there," Perry said. "It's my understanding that three people know the details of Bill Belichick's contract. Bill Belichick, obviously, Robert Kraft and Jonathan Kraft.
"I even asked if Neil Cornrich -- I assumed Neil Cornrich was still Bill Belichick's agent, but it turns out he's more of an adviser than truly an agent in that. For a while now, Bill Belichick has been doing his own contract. So it's a very small circle."
Equity.
@MikeGarafolo: The #Rams are working out a group of kickers today, including former #Packers mainstay Mason Crosby, sources say. Crosby’s entire 16-year career to this point was spent in Green Bay. For the first time, kicking in another uniform is a possibility.
@BillHuberNFL: Crosby gets his shot. Rams at Packers next week, by the way.
Kraft is just keeping the contract details secret for now in order to have a distraction against his next scandal.
Or to allow Belicheat to save face if he ends up getting fired someday. Kraft, "No, seriously everyone, Billy's contract was set to expire week 12 of this season. He wasn't fired."

This is gonna be hard to see, Mason in a different uniform……..
I happened to see where Blake "Pokemon" Martinez worked out for the Panthers yesterday.
No apparent signing.
I guess the card business took a downturn...
Competing against his Pokemon business, they probably couldn't afford him.
Claypool must not have been available
Well that sucks. Sweat is a good player.
Wash declined Young's 5th year, would they franchise him or take the best offer at the deadline?
How can Chitcago have any draft picks?
They have traded so many of them away over the last few years that I believe this must be their M.O.
If they don't have any picks available, they can't make a bad one. Amirite?
Well they have two likely in the top 5 this year
Dobbs to the purple
The #Vikings are trading for #AZCardinals QB Josh Dobbs, with plenty of starting experience, per me and
.

They traded the #1 pick last year to Carolina for their 1st and 2nd last year, 1st this year and 2nd next year plus DJ Moore. They have a lot of capital to play with.
Somehow people keep forgetting the bears were the worst team in the league last year.
The #Vikings are trading standout guard Ezra Cleveland to the #Jaguars, per me, @TomPelissero and @MikeGarafolo. One of the better young players at his position, Cleveland moves on to beef up another O-line in exchange for a third-day draft pick. pic.twitter.com/uTItO1ECnE

Why TF would they do that?
To keep their new QB on his toes?
the rich get richer

It's not coming down to a FG
Jebus. SF seems to make a big move like this every year. Mid round for Chase Young?
@antiworst posted:Top of the 2nd round good?
Yes, but the Bears are weird.
Chicago told Jaylon Johnson, their only good corner, he could seek a trade. If they were going to load the defense and draft a new QB or thought they could be competitive soon, Johnson is almost a must keep.

DE: Bosa and Young as starters, Clelin Ferrell, Randy Gregory and Drake Jackson as a rotation behind.
DT: Hargrave and Armstead as starters, Kinlaw and Givens as backups.
That's a pretty sick defensive front.
The question becomes what the heck is Washington's plan trading all their young pass rushers.
Not according to Goldie
I liked Smoke as a PS-level guy coming out, so okay.

Wonder how Davante feels about this development?
The way Carr was handled and the results that followed is probably what got them fired. I still can't believe they got rid of Carr, he was the face of the franchise and a major reason why Adams signed with them. They probably asked Adams his opinion of these two jokers about 10 minutes before they got canned.
So.... teams do fire coaches mid-season.
And apparently can get fired for poor offensive and defensive production.
Skeptical they make the move (mid-season) absent a frustrated Davante Adams.
