#Packers awarded two compensatory picks in next monthβs draft - a 5th and a 7th.
From S I's Conner Orr, " Lazard is similar in that he does something extraordinarily valuable, and uniquely valuable to certain offenses. In his case, he blocks. He is one of the few βdirty workβ wide receivers in the NFL, which made him indispensable throughout his run in Green Bay. Cooper Kupp plays a similar role in Los Angeles, which sets up so many of the Ramsβ passing concepts. Lazard is going to bolster any scheme with ShanahanβSean McVay roots. Donβt believe me? According to the NFLβs Game Statistics and Information System, the Packers were almost a quarter yard per rush better when Lazard was on the field. That equated to almost 100 extra rushing yards above the level of a replacement player over the course of a season.
Almost 5.88 yds a game.

Yup, pretty stupid use of stats. Actually showed the opposite. What I am curious about is how his presence contributed to Packers first downs in short yards situations.
Putting aside who he used to play for, Thielen is a phenomenal and reliable situational slot guy and an even better human. We'd be lucky to pick him up cheap (but won't).

The guy whines for a flag almost every time he doesn't catch a ball. I don't think I could stomach watching him cry every week. His whining is nearly on Cris Carters level.
He is even more whiny than Aaron Rodgers. Thatβs hard to do.
So Thielen to NYJ!

I would rather have that than a receiver who doesn't run the correct route and drops the ball when he does run the correct route.
Take Bak off your trade lists, heβs protecting our QB next year
Matt LaFleur has finalized his #Packers staff, and Tom Clements is still on it as the team's quarterbacks coach., with or without No. 12 on the roster. Seems like a win for Jordan Love, who showed his most growth under Clements. Rich Bisaccia adds asst. head coach title, too.

Guessing a pay raise went with..
#Packers promoted Rich Bisaccia to asst. head coach/special teams, hired Greg Williams as pass game coor (def), promoted Ryan Downard to DBs coach, promoted Jason Rebrovich to pass rush specialist and hired Tim Lester as sr. analyst and Rob Grosso and Kyle Wilber as QC coaches.

Yep. As Bongers said, Bakh is staying put.
This was the last big restructure the Packers needed to do. There are still a few others they can do if needed but theyβve done Clark, Alexander, Smith and Jones. https://t.co/nJWSSn8S1l

Bakt contract gives the Packers over 30 million in cap room. Not sure how much of that goes away when AR is traded.
Cap room will be spent on likely signing Gary to extension, signing Love to a long term deal perhaps, and adding a few key FA. Oh yeah...and signing the rookie class.
Couldn't Bak still be part of a trade with the restructure?

I thought so when I saw that they didn't add any void years, but the way it's structured now, if he is traded we would take an extra $17m cap hit this year ($38m total). Prior to the restructure we would have saved $6m in cap if we traded him. He's not going anywhere.
This deal means for sure we will cut him after this year because his cap for '24 is now over $40m.

No! Stop it! Murphy might hear that.
We just promoted Rich Bisaccia to assistant head coach.
I find it funny all the people complaining about Rodgers' cap number and void years as "holding the team hostage from rebuilding" yet applaud the void years and can kicking for Jones, Smith and Bakhtiari. Do you want to dump dead cap and rebuild around Love or not? At least Bakhtiari is a Left Tackle and protects Love. Smith and Jones are not long-term players for the team.

What is funny is your love for Rodgers.

He's one of the greatest QBs ever playing for my favorite team the last 15 years+ and can still make ridiculusly impressive throws most only dream of. Why would I not?
I'll give you the first part, the last few years he hasn't dropped the dime like he used to.

I thought he was usually a week early.

You mean other than the very 1st throw of the '22 season?
How about the last?
