FA officially hasn't started.

The Packers rarely, if ever, have been active in the first 72-96 hours other than with their own FAs.

Which may be smart.  Let the other teams spend wildly and then when the dust starts to settle be smart about it.

As for Lazard, I would love to see him back in GB but I don't know if he is worth spending huge to keep him.  Great blocker and decent WR just not worth getting paid as a #1 WR.

And just like last season when wiser heads counseled those that were concerned that losing Davante Adams left a void in the receiving corps, it must be remembered that a Sammy Watkins level vet (or maybe even Sammy himself) will still be out there in a week or two for Gute to swoop in and sign and add to all that weaponry he's assembled to make the transition to Jordan Love as smooth as possible.

The #Packers put a second-round RFA tender on OL Yosh Nijman, per source. It’s worth $4.304M.

If what fanboy Bukowski says has any validity, that Nijman is better than Jawaan Taylor who just got $15M a year fully guaranteed, this is just very smart business. If a team really values him, it will cost them a 2nd round pick. Packers only have to pay him $4.3M a year but will probably bump that up to something more reasonable around 8M a year, and get him for almost half what Jawaan Taylor costs.

I'd love to see the Packers use the cap space they are clearing and give an FU to Rodgers by signing DeAndre Hopkins. A bit of an upgrade over Cobb and Lazard. Would add a great veteran presence for Watson, Doubs and Toure.

I don’t understand the angst towards 12. He’s a fucking legend and one of the best players ever to grace our franchise. It’s time to move on and both sides agree on it. Perhaps we could all do it with a bit of class?

Hopkins can't stay on the field.

As with all players, as they age they start to become injury prone.

Nuke was certainly the model of consistency with his health his first two years, but battled some hamstring issues the last two.

He will be 31 in June...unless Gute believes he is the "one missing piece" it's probably better to draft and develop. Corey Davis should/could replace Lazard for a veteran presence. Hopkins will cost you probably a 2nd rounder, outside shot a 3rd and maybe a 5th.

I'll take that ...

Whether right or wrong, and realizing $$$$ can cure all things, I don't envision seeing many higher profile WR wanting to come to GB to play with a first year QB......

They weren't coming to play with 12 either, so I guess nothing is really changing.
