For all you cap nerds out there...

I had mentioned this FA CB earlier, looks like he's starting to make visits - with Houston up 1st. He would be boundary depth in Titletown

Houston is hosting cornerback C.J. Henderson for a visit on Thursday.

The Jaguars selected Henderson at No. 9 overall in 2020. But he was traded in Sept. 2021 to the Panthers, making his tenure with Jacksonville particularly brief.

In 49 total games with 32 starts, Henderson has recorded 16 passes defensed with three interceptions, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. He started eight games as a rookie before being sidelined by a groin injury.

Last season, Henderson played 12 games with seven starts for the Panthers, finishing with 39 total tackles, three tackles for loss, a sack, and two passes defensed.

More on LB Eric Wilson from Zach Kruse at Packers Wire

https://packerswire.usatoday.c...-teamer-eric-wilson/

"Wilson, who has played 30 games in Green Bay, led the Packers in special teams snaps with 308 last season. He was also on the field for 121 snaps on defense.

Wilson had 12 special teams tackles in 2023, leading the Packers and ranking eighth in the NFL overall. He had 13 in 2022, the 16th most in the NFL. Wilson’s 25 special teams tackles since the start of the 2022 season rank in the top 10 in the NFL and is first among Packers players. "

Wilson was also the guy who hustled down the field on Nixon's KR vs 49ers and recovered the fumble. It was really an impressive play to secure that ball while flying down the field at full speed. Happy to have him back

.

Going to add this here but I know some of it was already posted in the Off-Season thread.

I see the 49ers signed viking FA QB, Josh Dobbs.  One year for $2.25 million. Fully guaranteed with a chance to earn an additional $750,000, at signing. You're now looking at the 49ers back up QB.

If they didn't draft him in the 3rd then (from the reports we have) SF would've drafted him in the early 5th and probably turned him into an All-Pro. 🤷‍♂️

Just didn't work out. Can't get em all correct.

Onward....

According to a Wilde radio appearance today, that was a pick Gute ceded to MLF's strong wishes. Might explain why Gute cares less about his coach's input after that experience.

Does Gute still care about input from the scout who convinced him to take Myers over Creed Humphrey? Main reason being he played for O$U which makes him the natural replacement for Linsley at center.

Gutey is a scout himself. He only has himself to blame for not taking Creed Humphrey.

Myers improved as season went on but he's definitely not as good as Justin Fields said he is. 😂

Maybe Love just couldn't get used to the butt sweat.

Whoa. Texans loading up

@DMRussini:  Breaking: The Buffalo Bills are trading WR Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans in exchange for a 2025 second-round pick (via the Vikings).

The Texans also receive a 2025 fifth-round pick and sixth-round pick.

Yup I see it.
