With Tim Boyle now starting for the Jets, I forgot how absolutely horrible of a QB he is.

First 3 years of college at FBS school: 1 TD, 13 INT

Went down to FCS school his senior year: 11 TD, 13 INT

So far in the NFL: 3 TD, 9 INT

I know Wilson is bad, but holy jesus.

Nathan Peterman is a guy that's been just as bad in the NFL (4 TDs, 13 ints.), but at least he was very good in college.

I was warning about that awful OL before the Rodgers trade was finalized.

And I was wondering what AR was thinking about going to a team with an awful OL and few weapons.

Yes you did.  You were right.

How bad of a coach is Hackett?

Russ Wilson looks like crap/washed up in '22, in '23 is playing more like he did in SEA.

Zach Wilson has regressed under Hackett.

100% fraud and 100% owes his last two jobs to what Rodgers did in 2020 and 2021.

Oh yeah? The Jets gave one game ball for beating the Broncos and that was to Hackett.  What? The Jets are a stupid organization.

They should have given the game ball to Saleh for tackling Wilson on the sideline.

They can add Adams, but is there any guarantee that Rodgers will play long enough to make it worthwhile? If Adams goes to NYJ and Rodgers only plays one more year, Adams is stuck with crap again. It's a bummer for Adams: leave GB for Carr and Carr gets benched and then traded; coach gets fired; Rodgers goes to NYJ and is out, so there goes that trade. If only he had stayed in GB... him working with these young guys, showing them how to run routes, etc.? Uff-da.

The issue with Rodgers is he’s a 40 year old guy.  His body is breaking down.  There’s no guarantee he stays healthy next year either.

As for this year, the Jets are 4-6 and still have games remaining (2) v Miami and Cleveland and Houston. That could easily be 3 if not 4 losses.  With 7 games left realistically they’d have to go 5-2 or 6-1 to have a shot at the playoffs.  That’s a lot to ask with Tim Boyle at the helm.

I just don’t think that team is that good.  Nor do I think their coaching is very good.

I had never watched Pat Mcafee before that clip. Is he always that much of a Rodgers kiss ass?

Rodgers constant appearances earned him millions on his contract.

He knows Who's the Boss. And it's not Tony Danza.

Some things happened behind the scenes you may not be aware of.

The Packers offered him MORE than the Raiders did. Davante wanted to leave. He wanted out and wanted to be closer to his family on the West Coast.

So the Pack did the only thing they could do....trade him to the Raiders.

Having 17's talent would be nice, but it would also have put more pressure on 10. Any stumbles by 10 immediately become a narrative of comparison between 10 and 12 with 17 smack dab at the center of it. The hot take video segments produce themselves.

Davante had solutions that worked with him and 12, but every QB is different. Might be better not having 10 devote time and energy trying to play catch up with 17's experience. Davante will be 33+ when Love is hitting his prime.

Just my opinion, but the QB should always be the head mfer in charge. I don't want a team lead by a WR trying to make a QB someone he isn't. QB should be the lead dog in the pack. Right or wrong Gute set it up so there's a group of young guys walking through the fire together. They might not have the experience, but from all accounts they're putting the right kind of work in to figure it out together. There's been some tough spots so far and no one's pointed a finger. Finding their own solutions is going to pay off down the road.

Packers are laying low in national coverage while they learn. It's not the worst thing. Huge game this week in about a tough as situation as they could find themselves. Based on all the interviews today the whole team seems to be in a good head space from coach to qb on down. They seem game for the fight. There's a ton of character in their locker room. Win or learn, nothing wrong with that at this stage.

Plenty of camaraderie in the locker room. The players have really bought into Love being their leader and are forming a great nucleus. A couple offensive linemen and a stud RB and the offense should be a real force next season.

I get the feeling this team is built on a timeline where it comes together next season with everyone gaining valuable experience this year and a much better cap situation in 2024.

I agree. Right or wrong, Gutey brought in guys who have talant and character, who are willing to work hard and learn the game. It's a group that seems like they will work their way up together for the team and not just themselves. It says something good when they meet in the locker room to discuss things after a game.

My comment about Adams was just to say that it would have been nice to see him help the young guys for learning coverages and how to run excellent patterns. (Looking at you, Watson.) I didn't really consider any comparisons between Love and Rodgers, and how they would mesh with Adams. I always thought Adams was a team-first guy, but maybe I'm wrong. I realize he wanted to leave for the West Coast for family and to play with Carr; I wonder if he's now regretting that decision, given all that's happened.

Jets WR Allen Lazard is inactive today, sources tell @SNYtv.

Lazard, who signed a $44 million contract in the offseason, dropped his seventh pass of the season last week. He has just 20 catches for 290 yards and one TD.

Rodgers main man Lazard is a healthy scratch for todays game.  I bet the front office of the Jets loves that Rodgers talked them into giving him that $44million contract before he would agree to the trade.

( Damn, tit beat me by a few seconds but I'm leaving mine up too. )

@AndrewBrandt:

The Packers' seven wide receivers are making a combined $7.5 million this year.

Former Packers WR Alan Lazard, inactive today, is making $12 million this year with the Jets.
