Playing in the AFC east would help too.

That's not bad coverage. Dropped a ****ing dime from 159 feet away. Holy ****

- I'm not 100% certain Rodgers will play next week.
- This team minus Rodgers is like a 3-win team. That shouldn't be the case. With Rodgers they're a Super Bowl contender. It makes no sense. DO YOUR JOB!!
I feel like Rodgers makes them a playoff contender. The team I saw last night can make the playoffs but does not look like a Super Bowl contender. I think it will take minimum 1 more offseason to rebuild to that level.
Playoff prognostications at this point are way too premature. I'm hoping to see Jimmy Graham get more incorporated into the O-plan as the season goes on. And I'm looking forward to the element that Jones will bring when he is back.
I can confidently prognosticate that the Vikings will fail spectacularly before the Super Bowl.
Yes it’s early. But if this defense continues to grow and Rodgers is healthy for the playoffs. They have as good a shot as any team in football.
That was a really good defense Rodgers laid waste too the last 24 minutes of the game.
If they don't experience a rash of injury at one position group and Rodgers, Bulaga, and Bahktiari stay healthy, they have a shot. That's become the hardest part about watching the NFL; injuries affect the season as much as anything.

Yeah Vic Fangio is not a Rodgers fan

Just watched a bunch of plays from last night again. I'm a little shocked at how he got pushed around when he was engaged. And a lot of time he wasn't engaged. Leaves a double team to block nobody.
Add in his weakening shotgun snaps as the game/season goes on and it's nit exactly pretty.
I expect Graham was signed for working in the red zone.
AR doesn't seem to have that kind of patience
LMAO - DeShone Kizer went up to Aaron Rodgers after GB’s win over Chi and thanked him for his first win as an NFL player.
This is a fun game.
Excellent play by Fuller to grab GMo’s left arm as the ball got there to try to get Allison to drop it. GREAT play by Allison to hold onto that ball with control.

That's pretty damn funny.
He had to be wondering if he was ever going to see one...
Positives:
+ Cobb. Have to say “I told you so!” To those who talked about getting rid of him in the offseason. No friggin’ way! Not just his play, but his value in the locker room and in mentoring rookies.
+ Rodgers, of course.
+ DBs. Our rookies were thrown into the fire and came out okay.
+ Geronimo. Taking some big steps to be a big play guy.
+J. Scott. 45 yds per punt.
+. MVS. Glad to see him getting playing time and a return. I want to see him also get a chance to run some end-arounds or reverses, as well as to get some shots as a #3 or #4 receiver, even if it’s just as a decoy running a deep route to keep the defenses honest.
Nattering Nabob’s Negativity:
-Run game. Granted, we didn’t have Aaron Rodgers and the Bears’ DL was stellar, and Bulaga is coming off an ACL, but it was not pretty. Why not use MVS, Monty or Cobb on an end-around or reverse? And some screens and slants to slow down the rush?
-Pressure on Rodgers. I think MM is a very good coach at halftime adjustments, but why wait until halftime when you see how your franchise quarterback is being terrorized by Mack? Couldn’t J.Williams or a backup tight end be used to pick up that rush and help Bulaga out?
-Lack of Pass rush. This is getting old.
-LB play. Did they even play the new guys we picked up? Ray Nitschke would not be proud.
but why wait until halftime when you see how your franchise quarterback is being terrorized by Mack
We do what we do, Pittsburgh Macho, stacking failure, yadda yadda yadda....

He has to take on that lead blocker and let everyone else clean up the play. If he takes on the lead blocker then Trubisky likely doesn't score there.
unless Clay turns his play around dramatically this season, I have no problem being done with him after this year when his contract is up. lotsa flash, not much production. runs around like a misdirected rabbit.
Here are some replays of the young CB's. The thing that stands out or surprised me was how physical Alexander was. I wasn't expecting that.
Alexander
Jackson
King
Another "highlight" from Clay.

On the very last drive to end the game, was anyone else wondering why they were in shotgun formation on all 4 downs? That seemed like asking for trouble.
I believe Rodgers told MM that he couldn't take snaps from under center with his knee. I don't think they went under center at all in the second half.
After the Rodgers intentional grounding he went to tie his right shoe. He did it from a sprinters starting stance, you do that when you can't bend your knee.
Thanks GraveDigger, I was wondering why in the world he wouldn't be under center, but that makes sense.
Clay still doesn't understand the R/O
We are watching his skills decline, but he also seems to play with himself in mind more that his scheme responsibilities.

There was an interview snippit from either Pettine or the DB coach about their first impressions of Alexander after early TC practices. They said the only thing that surprised them was his physicality. They were not expecting it either.
Christ....King needs a "publicist" to click 'send' on those tweets. He ain't DJT.
I like it but others may not be so forgiving.

Clay taking himself out of the NFCC game in Seattle late in the game with an "undisclosed" injury still pisses me off. MM had no idea he did or have a reason why. And Capers didn't seem to give a schit that he did.
A totally bizarre decision by Matthews that makes no sense to this day. He was needed more then ever late in that game and instead, called it a day.
I'm giving Clay thru September. Let's see where he's at, at that point.
I like that Montgomery and Clark "liked" King's tweet.

And replacing him with the field goal goat AJ Hawk just compounded the misery.
