Veteran QB Blake Bortles is flying to Green Bay with the expectation he will sign to the Packers’ practice squad and be eligible for the 53-man roster Sunday, per source. Bortles was on the Packers’ roster this summer until Aaron Rodgers reported.

Makes the most sense of all the last minute options. I hope he doesn't need to play!

Rodgers only shot of erasing this egg on his face would be to go out and get the vaccine once his quarantine period ends. Own it, say you fucked up and move on.

I'm going to the Seattle game and I think there's a pretty good chance I'll be watching Love's first start at Lambeau.

I’ll be there too.

For the record, Bill Michaels has been known for starting and spreading bullshit rumors. So take it FWIW. I personally can't stand him as a media guy here in WI.

And Michaels just deleted the "went to Canada" tweet.

Now Rapaport is stating that AR has been following unvaxxed protocols. Because he's not vaxxed.

He went through a "homeopathic or holistic immunization treatment"

Canada? Astrazeneca maybe?

Ultimately his healthcare decisions are his own. Nobody here actually seems to care about his long-term health outcome, just that he's going to miss at least one game. He eats healthy enough and exercises, he'll be fine.

If I hear one more person tell me that β€œeating well” protects one from COVID, I’m going to punch Henry.

Or people are pissed because he intentionally misled people as to his vaccination status and that it's hard to believe a guy is "all in" on his "last dance" when he's willing to put himself and his teammates at more risk to miss games.

Or it could be he's spreading COVID through the locker room and to other people outside of football.

Astrazeneca is on the Canadian approved list as well.

Well that's my point, someone referenced the NFL having 3 approved COVID vaccines which I would assume are Pfizer, J&J and Moderna. So under that legalese Astrazeneca would both be an 'alternative treatment' and immunization.

It doesn't make much sense to me to go to Canada to get Astrazeneca of all things but I'm not sure what other 'alternative treatment' you would try to make a case for with the NFL.

The concern I have is if Rodgers (and others) aren’t following protocols put in place by the NFL there’s a chance more players will test positive or have to be quarantined for close contact.

If I’m MLF of course I’m pissed off.  Rodgers doesn’t care because he’s a short timer.  Beautiful mystery indeed.

It's also possible, perhaps even likely, that MLF did not know Rodgers was unvaccinated. At our place of work, we are told how many people are vaccinated (we are at something like 96%), but only a select couple of individuals in HR are allowed to know specifically who is not vaccinated. You can do the math and figure out based on total employees that there much be about 15 people that aren't vaccinated, but you don't know how. At every place I know (including ours), it's an honor system about your actions. If you are unvaccinated you are supposed to always wear a mask, but since no one really knows who is unvaccinated there is no practical way to enforce it.

So it's possible MLF was as broadsided as anyone when this happened this morning, especially if he was also told by Rodgers that he was "immunized"

It's also possible, perhaps even likely, that MLF did not know Rodgers was unvaccinated.

He'd know because per Rap and others reporting on this, Rodgers was required to mask up while inside the building and any team meetings, etc. He is also required to be tested daily and those results reported daily.

Vaccinated players are not under the same protocol with things like being masked indoors, etc.

I have no doubt with MLF,  he's known all along.
