I, for one, am surprised it didn’t get flexed out of Sunday night.
The Packers and Rodgers always draw huge numbers. NBC wants that game
The Vikings always make me nervous. It's always their Superbowl and strange things always seem to happen. Beating the Packers twice might be a way for Zim to save his ass. Need to get off to a fast start and make Kurt very nervous.

Just watched Douglas highlights from WV senior year. How the fuck did this guy get cut by 2 NFL teams? His WV tape looks exactly like what we are seeing from him right now. Ball skills, awareness, length and strength.

And how did Damrious Randall warrant a first round pick? It’s far from an exact science.
Players that will excel regardless of where they land are rare. A big factor in success is how those players fit in your scheme, with your coaches, etc.
I guess Rasul finally landed in the right spot.

Still trying to figure out the Randall pick and thank god Rasul has finally landed in the right spot. IMHO he may be the reason the Packers defense seemed to solidify.
As for the spermheads this game has me very nervous. I say lets stop playing that soft keep everything in front of you defense and go for their freaking throats.

His 4.59 forty time was the knock on him. Here was his NFL.Com analysis
"Douglas has rare size for the position and his 2016 interception total will add to the level of intrigue for NFL teams. There is no doubting Douglas' ability to make plays on the ball when he's in position, but his lack of long speed and closing burst could make his big senior season an anomaly. Douglas is a zone corner with press and trail ability but needs to run a reasonable time at the combine to solidify his draft slotting."
Ryan Wood said something that struck me as pretty accurate- Rasul Douglas is the player the Packers thought they were getting with they drafted Josh Jackson (Jackson's forty: 4.56).
Just further proof, as someone already noted, of it being a very inexact science.

ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK!!! Enough of this soft BS. This defense was flying to ball until the Sea Chickens shut out. Guys standing around waiting for some to make a play. Douglas finally took the bull by the horns. Watched half of the KC Pitt game. Chefs were running sideline to sideline. Packers defenders looked like they were trying not to get hurt!
My fear is Keke and the Northwestern Scrubs have run out of gas so it's Gary, P and KC with only Garvin as a decent sub.
I don't know what Matt Foley did in the first half of the season but he better figure it out.
Damarious Randall got drafted early because he was a decent athlete and playmaker. His issues were mostly mental and he played out of position most of his career. I also don’t think he had good work ethic.
Douglas is a great story. He’s basically the anti Damarious Randall.
As for the Vikings, I’ll admit I’m not thrilled they are playing the Packers with basically nothing to lose. You know they will play hard and even more so it would make their entire season to sweep the Packers. It all boils down to how badly the Packers want it and how they execute. Minnesota has weapons and they can RTFB. My hope is Kark wakes up Sunday morning and realizes it’s a big prime time game against a decent team which usually means he won’t lead them to a W.
I'm concerned about the Lion game as well considering what I've seen the past several weeks.

Correct me if I am wrong? But I believe if GB wins this week, they secure the #1 seed. If that's correct, then I am not sure GB has much to play for vs the Lions.

Pretty sure we need a Dallas loss for the Lion game to be meaningless.
I remember Rosul's name being bounced around pre-draft and wondered where he'd land.

I think I read that if GB and dal tie for the #1 seed, dal gets it. But what I haven't seen is what if there is a 3 or 4 way tie (with Rams and TB)?
So it sounds like a Packer win this week AND a Dallas loss would give GB the number 1 seed. The Cryboys play AZ this week
With how those two teams are trending, you gotta favor DAL in that one.

I think the Lions may beat them either way in the last game (if the Packers have everything to play for or nothing the play for). It's hard to beat a team that is going to go for every 4th down and run a bunch of fakes on special teams on the road.
I think Dallas is going to struggle at Arizona. The Cowboys are a legit threat to the get to the Super Bowl, but they are not some unbeatable juggernaut. Like the Packers, they benefit from playing in a lousy division (the Vikings are the best of the other 6 teams in those two divisions and they beat both the Cowboys and Packers).
The Cardinals are due for a good performance.
Captain Obvious statement, but the Packers need to take care of business next week with Thielen being limited, but if Dalvin Cook is ready to go he might go for 200 yards given the recent performance of the run defense.
Vicklings on life support. Loins being Loins. Yes can be a tough couple of games but if the Packers can't beat these 2 chumps, you think they are going to beat Dall Ass , Tampax or even the Rams again? Queens and Loins could just pack it in playing not to spend their off season on crutches. Who knows. But if the defense can play like they did, Offense play like they are and ST play like the Browns game their is no reason not to believe Rodgers will be playing in his 2nd Superb Owl

The real bummer with Rasul is he has been around long enough that he's a UFA in 2022. The guy is going to have over 20 teams bidding on him after the season. Gonna be a very difficult player to re-sign.
Packers don't play again this year. For all the non smartasses.
Nice thing about controlling your own destiny is you don't have to depend on others. Packers just win out and it's not an issue.

The Cowboys-Cards game is AT Dallas. Hope Cards are competitive but not confident about it.
The Vikes did not beat the Cowboys ... instead, with Cooper Rush playing QB for an injured Dak, the Dallas D shut down Minnesota in Minneapolis.
Dallas has seen the return of several key players who were injured earlier in the year and, under the defensive coordinator Jerry selected after last season's Mike Nolan-led disaster (Dan Quinn) and with 2 young defensive player of the year candidates in Parsons & Diggs, are playing D like no Mike McCarthy coached team since 2010.
With the injuries mounting in Tampa Bay (Fournette, Godwin, David, Pierre-Paul, and now Barrett), Dallas my indeed be the most formidable NFC foe in the upcoming playoffs.

There’s still time for the Packers to right the ship but the special teams and defense have gone backwards since the bye week.
I don’t know if it’s true but I heard some talking head say the Pack is 2nd last in defense in terms of avg. per rush attempt given up this season. That is a serious weakness that began to rear it’s ugly head the last 2 weeks especially.
One thing is for certain, the Vikings will test that weakness again this week. Hopefully the Pack comes up with some answers for it.
Will we ever see Jaire, Z or Bahk on the field before the playoffs (if ever?). And what's the status of Cobb and Meyers?
Too many good players still sitting out this late in the year.
So many games you just wonder why teams don't just run the ball 50 times. I think it would have worked for the Browns. Not sure if there is some sense of "oh crap, it's Aaron Rodgers" and they feel like they have to pile up points quickly.
I would just run, run and run some more until it stops working.
